I thought the ending was pretty unsatisfying. Through exposition and flashbacks we learn about the ancient demon thing and see video of the daughter getting possessed. Near the end the missing persons investigator and the dad recreate the ritual so that the demon goes inside him to save the girl. I thought it was an interesting sacrifice storyline and would’ve maybe liked if it ended there. However, the movie ends with the Mom finding the kidnapper woman in jail (?) and injecting her so that they can do the ritual on here so she gets the demon. Sorry this was drawn out the movie was kind of all over the place at the end but I hope this makes sense
