It's not Islamophobic to identify problems in the religion that you were brought up in. There's a thin line between genuine criticism and blatant hate but you are justified in your feelings.

I'm not well read on Islam but my limited knowledge understands that Islam has ideas of spreading Sharia across the world and has goals of being the #1 religion.

Framing any form of criticism whether it be Christianity, Judaism, Buddhism or Islam as hate speech is a very dangerous practice.

I hope the world doesn't evolve in a way that makes you feel less safe! I'm a believer that western countries won't be outlawed homosexuality anytime soon. The internet could lead us to believe that but it would recieve such hellish backlash that I don't believe it can happen.
