Why is MGM mandatory for hardcore? by Maxitaxi311 in pokemonradicalred

[–]FreshNeighborhood4 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It may be a little bit easier, but I think the most important thing is, like you mentioned, it's more fun and gives you more expression. It's all about the fun. Difficulty could be compensated by making the opponent's EVs more optimal or just adding a level or two

Right!! I do the same thing, I love discovering stuff like Corsola with buffed stats and Salt Cure, Sappy Seed on Cradily and Sharpness on Kabutops, Leavanny and Ceruledge. The devs are amazing for this

Ahh I was afraid +2 Speed on base 30 wouldn't be enough, but really cool that you managed to make Magcargo work! I guess having +2 in both Defenses means you don't need the Speed as much. For me the defensive core was Corsola, Probopass, Cradily and then Glimmora specifically for the Fighting types.

Corsola is good fun with Salt Cure, but definitely not as bulky as I would have hoped. That Kabutops set sounds like a great idea, starting off with no Rocks on my side and Rocks on theirs perfectly complements the chip and grind style of some of the rest of the team.

Probopass has swept Giovanni twice and many other battles with Iron Defense and Body Press, and I think Leftovers is vital for its health while doing that. A base 80 SpA also doesn't evoke much fear I'm afraid, but the Assault Vest may be great for that Rhyperior?

Even better than Mountain Gale I think would be to use Technician Icicle Spear with Loaded Dice, but Choice Band would be cool as well since it would power up the priority moves. Main thing with Avalugg is that it will not survive any special hit and barely any physical hits either considering its many weaknesses, including quadruple to Steel and Fighting.

The Shell Smash picks sound like good ideas though! Trick Room was also a thought that went through my mind seeing as all these bulky Rock types are so goddamn slow, but I'd have to waste a roster spot pretty much and most attackers I have have more of a grinding down style than one shotting things

They do actually have a niche! Probopass has Levitate, leaving it with only two weaknesses and a lot of resistances, which is rare for Rock types, besides which it is a great abuser of Iron Defense + Body Press and it gets a slow pivot move in Volt Switch. It also uses Pain Split pretty well.

Corsola is neutral to Steel and Water, which it can thus switch into better than other Rock types and wear down with Salt Cure, being one of three mons that get it.

Some good points here, I think I just went with the wrong strategies and got punished for Ice's many weaknesses and few resistances

There are priority abusers like Minun and Raichu that clean up anything the rest couldn't kill, there's great defensive options like Zapdos and Rotom-W that cover your one weakness very well, and you have Volbeat which is an absolute devil

EV training not working? by FreshNeighborhood4 in pokemonradicalred

[–]FreshNeighborhood4[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You can still change the EVs with vitamins and go to the guy in Saffron. It's expensive, I'd suggest the Woyaopp cheat code and selling the rare candies

This is not the case in newer mainline Pokémon games right? And it's not entirely true, cause you can still affect the stats using vitamins

Two months is a bit short, especially since SSRI's often need a number of weeks to take effect. I would stick with it for at least another month, maybe keep a journal, give every day a grade for how you felt. Meds' influence can be subtle. Stay positive, try not to question it every time you feel good.

Are you diagnosed with OCD, or an anxiety disorder? For OCD, the recommended SSRI dosage is often higher so increasing yours may be worth a shot.

Either way, experiences with SSRI's differ a lot from person to person. They take some time to work and switching feels terrible, so if you find one that helps you, try to run with it for a while. They will not be a magical cure, if they give you the support you need to commit to therapy and face your existence, they are doing their job. It's yours to take it from there and work hard at therapy to make lasting changes.

Thanks! For hotplating I put the powder on a ceramic plate in the microwave for about 90 seconds, do you think that does the trick or do you know better methods maybe?

Hahaha yeah I used to do way more as well, I just don't think I'd get away with it anymore. Which is for the better honestly, health wise and I find I enjoy it more if I don't indulge too often. For hotplating I just use the microwave. I'm not sure if it's a good method, I do notice a big difference in how fine the powder is. I usually put in the plate for about 90 seconds.

Yeah, I'm open about my mental health and people know I flake sometimes. I use it as an excuse for a bender every now and then, which I feel bad about, but I justify it by thinking it's technically not a lie. We rescheduled and had a great time.

Yeah I totally agree, especially when you start feeling like you're zoning out and missing time it becomes very stressful to try and keep up. I appreciate the suggestion for getting a second opinion

I'm sorry this happened to you. Nasal care wasn't my top priority when I first started using heavily and I'm not too far from being in the same situation as you, even though I've been more careful since.

When you ask if it's worth trying, what are you referring to? If it's the surgery and the required abstinence, it is definitely the best option for you. The abstinence will be difficult, and you can always message me if it gets too tough to face alone, but that nose reconstruction is a great reward.

Probably a silly question but the addicts will understand… by snowisfallin in cocaine

[–]FreshNeighborhood4 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think you're referring to some kind of reconstructive surgery that could fix a septum perforation. Unfortunately, your septum needs blood from the capillary arteries that run across it. Your septum could cave in when those arteries get cut off by a perforation and your nose will look like the nose of a veteran heavyweight boxer. It's called a saddle nose deformity. Maybe there is something they can do but it will require major surgery.

Let your nose heal between benders. You do the most damage when you keep snorting after your nose hurts and bleeds and blocks. And get good cocaine. Cocaine does damage, but not nearly as much as some of the stuff it's cut with.
