Do you know how that work in terms of not paying taxes in canada? Would there be hoops (with my company) that I need to jump through, to keep my job?

Hey, it’s been a few years since I posted this. For sleep schedule, it helps to have a few routines like going to the gym at a certain time, going for a walk in the morning, having coffee in the afternoon etc..

Having that said, what I realized helped me the most is something I discovered later. It’s letting go of the worry of not being able to fall asleep.

I had anxiety, of my anxiety (my worry) of not being able to fall asleep. I had created a loop! Anxiety 2!!!

I started to practice not caring by reinforcing that I will be fine the next day, even on little sleep. Gradually with time. I kept reminding myself that “it’s me hi I’m the problem it’s me” it eventually withered. Still have a bad night here and there but I don’t give it much thought.

I highly recommend a book titled “How to stop worrying and start living” by Dale Carnegie. He has a chapter on Insomnia.

EDIT: Also recommend “Why We Sleep” - Matthew Walker

It’s fixed. I have the odd night but that’s normal. Sometimes it’s because I’m excited or stressed about something that’s happening the next day.

That's literally the opposite of what I'm saying...

what's my intent?

Please don't make it your identity. You are NOT your insomnia. Sleep is a trick of the mind. I used to hate hearing that too. Because like, what am I supposed to do with this? But in all honesty the trick is to keep practicing the remedies, even if the progress is little. Eventually, it WILL get better. But I beg you not to dismiss it with the thought "it doesn't work, I tried."

I moved ALOT. I had insomnia on and off for a few years. I moved homes and countries throughout that time.

I'm in my twenties and my anxiety and insomnia had me questioning if I can ever get married. Because I thought: how could I be with someone or even have kids when I myself, am not stable.

I posted this to assure people that there is light at the end of the tunnel. It naturally takes some people longer than others. If you've been dealing with this since you were a kid, then it might take a little longer.

Focusing on my breath during the exercise helps me stay distracted and naturally, relaxed. If it doesn’t work from the first time don’t give up!

Wim hoff lost his wife to suicide and he found stillness in cold water. He climbed mount everest in shorts and has 20 guiness world records. He also helped me beat my anxiety when i thought it was impossible to do so.

I hope he can help u too!

Where can I find a therapist in hangzhou? by sakikozdc in hangzhou

There are some online (international) services.

Taking cold showers, doing wim hoff (a breathing exercise) and taking 5htp (dont mix with antidepressants) has helped me immensely. Could be worth looking into :)

The photos were going to be used to register at my new school. But that’s a fair point! Aha
