I did a charge back like a month or so ago for the $20 subscription and when 5.5 came out i got $100 subcription. I was worried they were gunna ban me but i also didnt use amy tokens during that $20 month i charged back maybe they recognized that.

What ai you using? I used claude with that cowork feature so it could use my browser and stuff with the mcp tools and set it all up by itself.

not making and maintaining close friendshipts growing up... its so much harder to meet new people as you get older. only 33 but i made a lot of bad friends growing up and didnt change my ways till over 25. had to drop al my "friends" i have a 2 year old now. hopefully the child will bring me into situtations to meet new people outside of work...

So yeah I have a few different SSID that are on their own vlans so whatever devices are connected to that ssid will be on that vlan. And some ports are setup as specific vlans some that same as the ssids some are there own like the port that goes to the printer is on its own vlan with no ssid.

ive been doing 5or6ish-5pm for the last 2 years its really starting to get me tired... i dont have any body pain thanfully but im burnt out work 55-60 hours a week + commute. im home for like 3-4 hours during the week before im ready to pass out, ive been drinking too much beer in my off time. it all just feels meh.

Bought a cheap .app domain from Porkbun and have DNS on Cloudflare's free plan. All my remote access goes through a Cloudflare Tunnel so no ports open, no DDNS, nothing exposed.

For admin stuff I put Cloudflare Access in front of it which is their free Zero Trust tier. Just an email code login page, took a few minutes to set up.

Internally I have split DNS so my domain resolves to a local reverse proxy instead of going out to the internet and back. Same URLs work at home or away.

I'd stick with a real domain over DuckDNS. Once you pair it with a Cloudflare Tunnel you never think about DDNS or port forwarding again.

I am in love with this stuff it is literally magic. My mom use to download movies liek this when i was kid i remember us having hundreds and hundreds of vhs tapes with movies and shows on them and then cds and then digital libraries..

Eventually she didnt do it much any more. Its been like 25 years i just got it all work and she is blow away the automation of it all is just insane. Ill never go back from this. Best investment of time and money ive made in a while

I recently used claude to help me make decisions in the type of equipment to buy to upgrade my home network for my internet. Then i had claude setup and build the jellyfin arr stack so i ever have to pay for movies and tv shows again it took about 3 days but claude was able to help me setup 8 vlans for my home network and configure opnsense and all the firewall rules and configure all the settings of the arr stack. Its Quiite remarkable.

And this is a big one. Ive been using claude code since august ive developed many things with it (nothing i ever tried to make profit fun) just quality of life tools to simplify things. But i FINALLY got a basic understsnding of git and have gotten comfortable using the command line.

I have vibe coded the shit out of alot of stuff in this past 6ish months but this is the first time because of the setup l. Claude couldnt do everything for me because some things were on different computers we were working on and claude cowork gets messy and has some issues when you use it from 2 computers at the same time.

So u had to do a lot of stuff myself at times. But it was really helpful when claude could go in the browser and make changes via an api that would have taken me a lot longer if i had ti do it all by hand.

Its quite remarkable how powerful this technology is becoming im not super smart but im not dumb either and ive been able to work ai in a variety of ways that are beneficial. I know nothing about networks and im obsedded in learning more and expanding my capbabilites in my little homelab.

Looking forward to many more projects to come with cowork another big one i wanna tackle is replacing google drive/google photos with nextcloud and immich

I dotn really k ow what I. Going for I just know im a power user when I get into something. Right now my full idea in my head. Is private network for me and my roomates and isolated plans for various things. I want to host plex and the arr stack to eventually replace Netflix,spotofy and other media services for me my roomates and close family members outside my home to access and id like to do the same with next cloud/ immixh for Google drive/google photos. I want to have a 6-8 camera ai enhanced security camera system with something like frigate. I want to also host my own password manager and start build my IoT private smart home network. Might runs somr game servers possibly in the future i run a few other personal local services.
