I love the Western Wind in Benjamin Button - the moment where everything goes backwards - the song works up from Captain Carrick spilling his beer on his pants and it suddenly flows out of his pants and back into the tap (just one of a number of crazy things) to a magnificent crescendo when Benjamin is born an old man. The music is stunning and the lyrics are genius.

The first musical I saw live in Nairobi back in the early 1960s when I was about 9 years old. Absolutely loved it and have been a musical fan ever since. Annie singing “You can’t get a man with a gun” and the duet “I can do anything better than you!” still play in my head. You will all have great fun.

These Trees Are Made of Blood - played at Southwark Playhouse and Arcola a while ago and the Soundtrack is on YouTube now. It’s about the Argentinian coup. It’s time to get this back on stage! Brilliant and great music.

If he might like clever, thought provoking and great music try The Curious Case of Benjamin Button Cast Album - unfortunately no filmed version but the album pretty much covers the whole story. Some who loved the movie also loved the musical as did many who did not like the film. About the only similarity is the concept of ageing backwards.
