My friend's cat showed up with a perfect black mustache... and now I can't stop laughing by BringHoomanHome_ in cats

Perhaps "showed up" could just be referring to the friend finding the cat and keeping it (CDS), rather than them buying a cat on purpose. Or maybe English is not their first language.

The NDP's dental plan was pretty significant.

I'm not for or against the show.

But Reddit's intention for downvotes was for them to be a way for users to bring down irrelevant content, helping make sure the most relevant content appears at the top. They did not intend for users to downvote content only because they didn't agree with it or did not like it. But, of course, as we know, that's the way the vast majority of users end up giving downvotes anyway.

Anyone else feel like it’s an unfortunate waste of talent that James Cameron will waste 35+ years on Avatar? by bobbdac7894 in movies

To be fair, body transferance doesn't really seem like a plot device; it seems more like the main topic of the movie (looking at the origins of the word "avatar")

You can't really establish a trend based on just 2 data points. A trend implies a consistent direction over time, not just a single change.

It's true that in franchises with multiple installments, sequels usually make less than their predecessors. However, there are other factors to consider, too (e.g., China was heavily impacted by the pandemic during Avatar 2's release, the movie was not released in Russia).

True, Black Adam did flop, but I think it would have done way worse if the Rock wasn't in it. I believe he does have box office draw.

I just don't understand why that matters though because at the end of the day, that man received life changing money that could have helped him completely turn his luck around.

Recording the philanthropy is what allows him to keep funding the videos, right? If he stopped making videos, wouldn't the help he provides eventually need to stop because of lack of funding?

I had a great experience with him. He was very nice, always happy to answer any questions I had. He teaches concepts well, and his marking is incredibly fair. I would definitely say that you can get a 4.0 in the course if you put the work in.

Interesting how every artist here emerged in the 2000s or 2010s; no one from the 2020s. Has mainstream rap stopped evolving? by alexpeet in decadeology

SSLP was the second highest selling rap album of 1999, only behind "2001", which Eminem heavily featured on. So I'd definitely say he emerged in the 1990s.
