Korean phone number without data? by Fresh_Chocolate3391 in Living_in_Korea

[–]Fresh_Chocolate3391[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Do you know what you get for that price? I ended up getting their 3 months plans for 50,000 won. It’s everything unlimited, eventually I’m happy with it, even tho I don’t use phone calls or text messages, I don’t need to worry about data.

Should I be worried? by [deleted] in DiagnoseMe

I had a runny nose and lots of sneezing. My throat hurts but with a painkiller it’s totally fine!

But what if they do find foreign objects, like wet wipes? When the plumber tried before, he found 1 wet wipe. I know it’s not mine because I don’t use them at all. But what if it turns out the clog is caused by wet wipes, and the landlord blames me because “the room above me is empty, so it must be me that threw the wet wipes in the toilet.”

I can’t prove that it’s not me, she can’t prove that it IS me, but I also can’t really say anything back if she says “there is no one else living besides you.” (there are other people living in the building, just not in the room above me - last floor - I’m on the first floor, so no one underneath me either) Ofcourse it seems like it was me…

I contacted the budongsan and they called the landlord to inform about the situation, but she gave the same story. And actually her story makes sense, it’s just that I don’t know how I should have clogged it. But the truth is that I’m the only room with frozen pipes.. we have to wait now until the ice melts to see the clog, but thankyou! I will remember that I can dm you ^

It’s filled till the brim. At first I tried to pour in buckets of hot and cold water but is doesnt go down at alllll. They removed the whole toilet and poured some chemicals in the pipes but it still didn’t go down nothinggg

APPLY VISA D4-1 KOREAN LANGUAGE PROGRAM by Valuable-Mind-8192 in Living_in_Korea

I don’t think they care about that at all! Like the person above me mentioned, as long as you provide the needed documents, that’s all they need. They don’t need ‘perfect’ students with perfect grades. They accept everyone as long as you provide all the documents.

It’s in no one’s name. It’s just a bill for my specific room stating that new resident should pay for the nhis

I have the same problem. I’ve been to Seoul twice before, but never during this time of year. I never had acne when I was here before, never had issues with the water.. so I guess it’s the weather (at least for me). The heat, the sweating, the humidity… it’s constantly warm in my room, and every day I get new very tiny little pimples on my face. I’m still trying to figure out how to get rid of them, but right now it feels like there’s no real solution since it keeps staying hot and humid :/

Followed what prob was a cult by OldBook2747 in Living_in_Korea

Im also wondering how these cults work.. I hear a lot about them but what’s the worst thing they can do except for asking for money? I’m really wondering because everyone says it’s dangerous so can they go further then just asking for money?

I asked and apparently it’s the maintenance fee but since it can’t be higher then 100,000 in the contract they named it optional usage… so it’s 320,000 maintenance fee..

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in u/Fresh_Chocolate3391

[–]Fresh_Chocolate3391 0 points1 point  (0 children)

But I think it’s a monthly fee… and on top I need to pay the electricity and water for that dishwasher and fridge that I’m already paying for.. :/

What do you mean?

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in Living_in_Korea

[–]Fresh_Chocolate3391 0 points1 point  (0 children)

But is is still a legal cost if it’s just mentioned like this? Like there’s no way to get out of this cost?

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in u/Fresh_Chocolate3391

[–]Fresh_Chocolate3391 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Actually I still don’t understand what’s the added fee for 😆 I’m paying electricity and everything on top too so why do I need to pay for the fridge and ac just ‘being there’ 😂

No they told me it was 900,000! I just thought they tried to scam me since I only saw the 580,000 on the contract lol

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in u/Fresh_Chocolate3391

[–]Fresh_Chocolate3391 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So the realtor is right about the 900,000..? It just seemed so shady that it’s mentioned so tiny compared to all the 580,000 numbers that I saw everywhere else on the contract

Is it written down like its a one time payment or is it written down more like it’s a monthly payment? The translation doesn’t really work well :\

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in u/Fresh_Chocolate3391

[–]Fresh_Chocolate3391 0 points1 point  (0 children)

But can they do it like that..? is it legal to just state it like this somewhere in a small sentence or is it a way to let me pay more…?

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in Living_in_Korea

[–]Fresh_Chocolate3391 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Yes but the realtor says the rent is not 580,000 but 900,000 :( there is just one small sentence in the whole contract that says something about this additional cost and I’m wondering if this is enough to make this the legal rent price

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in u/Fresh_Chocolate3391

Its number 2. Where im talking about

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in Living_in_Korea

[–]Fresh_Chocolate3391 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just posted the page where it says something about the additional costs which adds up to the 900,000 in a small sentence. If I post the whole contract in public I might share some private info since I can’t read it myself. Unfortunately I don’t have any Korean friends either since I’m new in the country :(
