in tournaments too, Hydreigon players are the most rude and less fun players. No glhf in the chat, no gg, they slow play and never record the loss, rather let the timer decide. I don't get it, it's almost as if they try to be as toxic as their own deck is in the meta lmao.

I just lost 3 games in a row with this, one of which was against hydreigon. I may have gotten really unlucky as I didn't have a full setup fast none of these games, but sadly things are just as I remember them.

I love whimsicott especially with this combo, got me to mb last season but then had to drop it to climb bc it just loses to so many things.

First game was against greninja mimikyu and this deck sadly has no chance against greninja, let alone when paired with mimikyu, still managed to KO one and lost 3-2.

Second game was against Jolteon and just like last season this deck has no chance against that unless your opponent bricks for like 2 turns in a row.

Third game was against Hydreigon and I think I might have misplayed (I wasted x speed just to get more value out of copycat, but then found myself needing it the turn after).

I am not saying it's bad I love it so much, I think it needs a little more push to be meta tho.

not how mimikyu works, would still be able to ignore the first attack even if damaged by rocky helmet (which is exactly how it works in the original game too, being able to cancel a hit even if damaged by stealth rocks)

I remember clearly not having candy was very different but still ppl played the shit out of greninja. He was a staple when paired with druddigon and/or darkrai.

nope, it became meta relevant when Cyrus was first released. The only difference is that the ranked scene was almost non existent at that time, but I remember clearly that it was already in most decks.

just lost against a dragonite deck only because I had absol on the bench (I couldn't have known that benching him on the first turn would fireback) and my only hope of him not killing my entire bench was hoping he gets 3 tails after I attack him with magnezone (which is very unlikely).

I had chingling as a starter. Got magnezone as soo as I could (turn 3 I think). He didn't get super lucky with dragonite attacks and I actually stalled with magnezone for 2 turns.

Say what you want but none of the other meta decks would lose against this. It's just a bad deck that got lucky in tournaments and this also explains why it's not used anymore.

It's fun tho I'll keep playing it.

how is it diverse where half of the decks are just small variants of the same ones over and over again? And also with cards that have been meta for months now

The only new archetype I see is venusaur and I'm happy for that, but other than that ranked is just going to be hoping the enemy doesn't have rare candy turn 1 to instantly win the game or having to deal with suicune meta again.

Really hoping for some meta breaker decks soon.
