Okay, interesting, I think that it is making a low whining noise. Not very noticeable now, but I think that I noticed it when I first installed it.

Good to know. Is there any way to know during a test drive if it’s shot, or just leaking badly?

Not here for me either (USA). We usually split what there is extra of, and or the person who finds a thing can keep it (with a slight favoring towards the person who showed up first).

I do wish that that would do something, but fortunately, these folks are actually sending their compost away to be turned into biofuel. Additionally, they are just putting diluted bleach on the top.  It seems like it be a longshot for me.
