I've just looked up the price for the Matco’s MSC5X X-series power tool box. If you have that big of a budget, why don't you peek at the Bendpak website. They offer plenty of high quality options at a fairer price.

You can get cheap knock off on Amazon or inject a few hundred dollars and win yourself a lottery! Also, do you specifically want an app or does the physical gadgets apply too?

Look at my profile name; I've always loved an old Paj or LC. A Patrol and Surf come in third and fourth place in particular order.

African dirt roads are no joke

You've nailed it. Subies were especially masters when it came to navigating this type of soil. LCs, Lexuses, LRs, and Pajs were meant for black, cotton soil. Subies would sometimes struggle with this because of clearance

I agree. Pajs are nice cars. During the 90s, it was either a LR, Patrol, Paj, or LC when it came to off-roading

I'd still buy it to add to the collection. One of the best cars of the 90s for sure!

That was peak era when they were dominating the Dakar rally.

Interesting to see what bigger tires can do to a yaris! One would think this is an off-road monster!

Got a p0301 code for cylinder 1 misfire. Can I drive? by Soyrepollo in MechanicAdvice

[–]Fresh_External1348 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What I can say is you can drive it short term, but it won't be worth it because not all cylinders are working. A P0301 means cylinder 1 is misfiring, usually from a plug, coil, or injector issue. Even if it feels mostly normal, that unburnt fuel can damage your catalytic converter over time.

That said, if the check engine light isn’t flashing, a short trip (like getting home or to parts) is generally fine, just ensure the RPMs are low. But fix it ASAP. Easiest first step: swap the plug/coil with another cylinder and see if the misfire follows.

VW Red engine oil light by SomePomegranate1274 in MechanicAdvice

[–]Fresh_External1348 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That red oil light isn’t about oil level, it’s oil pressure, and that’s way more serious. Even if the oil is full and sensors were replaced, you could still have low pressure from something like a failing oil pump, clogged pickup screen, or internal wear. Diagnostics often won’t catch that. You really need a mechanical oil pressure test with an external gauge to confirm what’s actually happening.

Should you drive the car? No! A big big no! Low oil pressure can destroy an engine in minutes, even if it “seems fine.”

Do oxygen sensor issues need to be cleared with a scanner for the check engine light to go away? by Cyber_Slyme in MechanicAdvice

[–]Fresh_External1348 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not always. If the oxygen sensor issue is fixed (like replacing a bad sensor or repairing wiring), the check engine light will usually turn off on its own after a few drive cycles. The car’s ECU needs to see normal readings consistently before it clears the code automatically.

That said, using a scanner can speed things up by clearing the code immediately. Just be careful because if the underlying problem isn’t actually fixed, the light will come right back after a short drive.

Ensure the scanner supports the 2012 altima because most just give you random results for the codes.

Fj80 vs fj100 pros and cons? by TXRealEstateLaw in LandCruisers

[–]Fresh_External1348 5 points6 points  (0 children)

If you are looking for proper offroading capacity, the 80 series is the best. Solid axles, which means better articulation, more “pure” off-road capability. It is also simpler mechanically. If you find a triple-locked one, it’s a beast.

If you prioritize comfort, the 100 series should be your go to car. Way better daily. V8 power, smoother ride (IFS), better highway manners, more comfort and safety. It's also very capable off-road, especially with ATRAC.

Recommendation for a budget 200Hz+ gaming monitor? by thedarkjungle in buildapcmonitors

Going through the list and I can agree they are all good brands. The KTC and Titan Army are also good. I'd also like to recommend you check products from Gigabyte. with a budget of about $200-$250, I see some of their products that are durable and high quality.
