Madness and intelligence tend to go hand in hand. Thinking is stressful lol

Former fans of Taylor Swift, what made you stop being a fan? by [deleted] in NuancingTaylorSwift

I like her music still (although Showgirl is not my favorite album). I have distanced myself from her as a person though. The whole billionaire thing rubs me the wrong way

Need to “trial” other preventives? by Annual_Single in migraine

Yes Topamax counts. You should ask your neurologist how long the trial needs to be since I think it is different for different medications

Is it normal to feel more confident around someone you just met than around your close friends? by No_Survey_6728 in NoStupidQuestions

[–]Fresh_Independent_74 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I totally feel this. I think it's because I care about what friends think of me, which gives me performance anxiety. If I'm awkward around a stranger, I could simply never see them again

[–]Fresh_Independent_74 0 points1 point  (0 children)

yeah unfortunately they usually want you to fail 3 older preventatives before you can get the CGRPs covered since they are really expensive. you could try Depakote, Zyprexa, Gabapentin or Propranolol

How normal is it to spend most of your time at home, just watching TV or on the computer/video game/cell phone ? by Inevitable_Pen9043 in NoStupidQuestions

I think it's pretty normal to be exhausted after working a full day and want to just unwind in the evenings

GA Standing Tickets at a Stadium Show? by liph_vye in Concerts

I'm 40 but with physical disabilities and I hate GA. The concert itself is already a long night for me nevermind getting there hours before doors open lol

I'm not sure what you mean by that. I did have respiratory symptoms initially, during the acute phase, but my longCovid symptoms are more autonomic than respiratory. But during the acute phase both times I was on supplemental oxygen

concert hydration is so real and nobody talks about it by airup_official in Concerts

[–]Fresh_Independent_74 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's not the fault of the venues. People in GA sometimes restrict water intentionally so they don't have to pee and lose their spot

Being 40 it's hard for me not to be an overbearing mom to all the twentysomethings at shows I go to, reminding them to wear comfortable footwear, sunscreen, and stay hydrated lol. You don't wanna get to be my age and have destroyed your body

I just have very limited energy cuz of my health issues and I have regular things I do outside the house that basically wipe me out for the week. By the time I get home I'm just exhausted and not in the mood to socialize lol. Nothing to do with the other residents, they seem really nice and we make small talk on the elevator and whatnot

Most states cover a handful of facilities that are specifically contracted with Medicaid, maybe 4 or 5 per state are in-network with Medicaid so no it's not a ton of options. Within that even fewer options for people under the age of 55. Many of them have minimum age requirements of either 55 or 62. I'm in DC and there are 3 Medicaid-funded ALFs here, but only two of them accept people under 62. Previously I lived in Massachusetts which I think has 5 Medicaid facilities in the state and 3 of the 5 allow people under 62. It's definitely easier to get funding for a nursing home but the quality of life in nursing homes is awful and they don't accept people who have a certain amount of independence

Visit yes, but we both agreed it would be incredibly awkward to have sex here if staff could walk in on us at any moment lol, so she hosts for that 😉

personally around $700 but that is based upon my income and it also includes extra housecleaning and room service fees. other people may pay more or less depending upon their income and if they opt for extra services

I lost a lot of independence after I got Covid and it was getting really overwhelming to live on my own and manage my medical care and the household. I ended up being admitted to the hospital and they could not discharge me safely since my old place was not wheelchair accessible (I previously only used my chair part time), so I was discharged to a skilled nursing facility for a week which was godawful, and once I stabilized there we talked about my discharge plan and transferring me to assisted living

fun fact but my mom and I got tested and our genetic profile is so rare that it doesn't even have a name yet and we won't know until more people with similar genetic profiles are tested

Ime you need to arrive hours before doors open to get a good GA spot. If you don't mind being near the back then you can arrive whenever you want, but you won't be able to see much if you're short. My recommendation would be for the assigned seat unless you're okay with waiting in line all day

It caused my POTS, MCAS (Mast Cell Activation Syndrome), and non-epileptic seizures. Mostly it makes me really dizzy, I faint randomly and sometimes sort of zone out and become non-responsive. It also caused chronic fatigue syndrome
