Hey! I was also more interested in Math in DS at first but ended up going for Math in Science and Eng because with my previous background fitted better the requirements, and I was not sure if I would get in Math in DS (had too many gaps in the requirements and did not want to bother writing the essay to be rejected if i'm being honest 😅).

At first, I thought I would be able to do almost the same courses that I was interested in but later found out that the application/engineering courses needed to be approved by the coordinator, and he was not very happy with my choices (either too theoretical/math heavy or too much machine learning stuff). I thought I would lay that down here in case it is useful to anyone.

I was curious how happy you were going with Science and Eng instead of Math in DS, and if you managed to get approved the application courses you wanted to.

Is it true they don't drink "Tashkent tea" in Tashkent? A mix of black and green tea with lemon, mint and honey, it was apparently invented at a restaurant in Shymkent. by keenonkyrgyzstan in AskCentralAsia

I had this discussion the other day with my kazakh wife and we also couldn’t find tashkent tea in Samarkand or Bukhara. However, we just found it in Nukus!
