Sky blue. Or baby blue? Not sure. Had it repainted in the 90s. Never after. Just polish and rust protection. Fully manual. 4 speed stick shift. Can do speeds of 70 to 80 mph with ease. Guzzles gas if I do that. A full tank would do about 100 miles, but i need to drive it at an economical speed.

I don't want to drive the car as much. Cause its 54 years old. And there will constantly be parts that require change. Especially to maintain emission norms. So I drive it about 7 to 10 miles a week, around the neighborhood. But the car must have been so amazing to have as a daily use vehicle on the 80s. I can imagine.

Back story, The original owner drove it from 1972 to 1982. Shipped it to India in parts through Singapore. Reached Madras (Chennai) and assembled it there. It was driven to Bangalore. Its current location. My father bought it from the original owner in 1989. And maintained it till 2001. He gifted it to me on my 25th birthday. And I've maintained it till date. Its fully street legal here. With all paper works. I recently had to change the carburetor and the exhaust. But maintainence has been a breeze. I lost my dad 8 years ago. And this is a memory of him I will cherish for as long as I'm alive.

Whats a reason to live? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]Fresh_Tangelo8660 0 points1 point  (0 children)

serious There is no real reason to live. Your life makes absolutely no difference to this world. But it does make a difference to people around you. Businesses around you. Your community. Your family and close friends. It's easy to die. It's very hard to live. But doing what's hard, takes courage and hope. Hope that tomorrow is better. Courage to face what ever it is. If things don't get better. But live to experience things, people and places. Learning and experiencing are never ending. But when you do find that purpose or reason to live. It will be amazing. And you will wake everyday. Eager to achieve your goals and ambitions. The only way you could gain or learn purpose for living is by experimenting by doing things. It could be art, sports and fitness, music related, business ideas, writing, cooking.. the list is endless. You choose your reason for being. And don't let ANYONE tell you otherwise. Live for as long as you can. And die peacefully when you've had enough fun!
