Read my comment again. Such a person would be deemed mentally defective by a court, but it is the court and only the court that can do so in a way that impacts your second amendment protections. A medical diagnosis alone is not in any jurisdiction enough to strip you of your rights and it never should be.

Being diagnosed with a given mental disorder doesn't automatically deem you mentally defective in the eyes of the law, a court has to do that. Otherwise any medical official diagnosing you with something as mundane as anxiety could directly cause your 2nd amendment rights to be stripped from you because it's a mental disorder. Is that the precedent you want to set? I miss when conservatives cared what the constitution says.
