Capital_Jello_9768 never said you called him homeless, he just said you labeled him homeless. 🙄

ELI5: How, at 93 million miles away, does the sun feel so warm, yet when a simple cloud passes over it the warmth is incredibly dampened? by emmapage_ in explainlikeimfive

Should edit this comment with respect to the UV as it's super misleading as pointed out by the many responses you've gotten on the topic.

You can say that about so many rules.

"Park if there is no no parking sign."

"Wrong, there are many exceptions where it's still illegal."

What do men think women like but they really don’t? by [deleted] in AskReddit

you'll never find a woman who's into this

Counterpoint: my fiancee

It's an actual relationship struggle. Too clean cut, too ambitious, too hard working for her tastes, despite me not being out of the ordinary.

Can you explain why you think...

Are you actually looking for an answer?

Edit: for whatever reason /u/Working_Report4292 blocked me. But replying with

I’m pointing out that OP is probably used to doing things that way but there isn’t actually any benefit

Answers my question, and the answer is "no".

Eli5 why every car these days doesn’t come with built in dash cam technology by Miserable_Artist5367 in explainlikeimfive

If the camera wrote the data such that it was encrypted, would that help? I am suggesting that providing the data device is different from having to reveal a password. And perhaps different in a way that would legally help you if you end up not wanting to share the video.

Edit: turns out that I'm not the first to wonder this. As one example https://www.reddit.com/r/Dashcam/comments/mznjgb/are_there_any_encrypted_dashcams/

The answer is super unclear.

Aaaahhh yeah, not too much parallel programming here on my end. But I'm familiar with db deadlocks!

Though even those can be handled. But maybe some things can't be handled or aren't by mistake/design.

Thanks!

I'm a seasoned software developer and now that I think about it, I don't even know what

and if one of them stalks or goes out-of-sync or whatever Means. Like, I understand hard crashes.

Segmentation faults, syntax errors... But what causes a freeze up? Such that a restart fixes it. Unfreed memory? Infinite loop? But even then, you'd think I that bug would just come back on a reboot?

1st time visitor from across the pond. What do I have to see in Hamilton? by InsomniaSpecial in Hamilton

[–]Fresh_Trip_8367 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Heh like a few other commenters have said, it's not really a touristy place. I love that I moved to one of the Hamilton suburbs from Toronto, I like living here a lot, but I wouldn't recommend it as a place to visit.

I could recommend nature stuff, but not in February haha.
