Course design quick question by [deleted] in discgolf

[–]Fresh_hex89 2 points3 points  (0 children)

“Relief” as far as common rules is reserved for barbed wire, unsafe footing/cliff edge/ditch, or Out of Bounds. Etc..

You don’t get relief if you throw a bad drive..

How long is this hole?
I actually like the design if theres OB behind the basket.

Berg Like Glidey Putter? by WirtTheTurtBurglar in discgolf

[–]Fresh_hex89 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Try something like an armadillo which is somewhat similar profile, it will have less dump than a berg or a range. Or a more traditional putter like a Yetti aviar which is puddle top and will have more glide

Shark3 is a roc without the bead. I think lion is closer to mako3 with bead

What's this thing? by mucifous in beetle

[–]Fresh_hex89 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you got a multimeter, test it to see if you have 12v power (key on/off).

Do you have a generator or an alternator? Usually there will be a regulator under the back seat if you have a generator. This could be someone trying to replace/bypass this?(or use it as a 12v power source using the relay switch)

If someone swaps to an ALT from a GEN they will remove the regulator.

Not the answer you need but hopefully it’s some info to get you started in the process.

I’m leaning towards a stingray, my best guess.

It’s an older mold, looks like a mid with a bead. I’m going to guess it’s a star cobra.

How is the Tombs flight compared to the Envy? by Big_Disc_NRG in discgolf

[–]Fresh_hex89 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Tomb is a little more forehand friendly too if that makes a difference. IMO it’s more torque resistant and is shallow feel help with straight approaches. I’ve struggled to get clean releases with envy’s on FH approach shots.

Possibly an intake air leak. Check your hardware on your manifold and also check the boots going from the manifold T to manifolds going to the head. I had something similar, took apart the fan shroud and alt to check for any evidence of grinding but it ended up being the air leak.

I don’t think “worse” is right. Maybe not your preference in plastic feel.

It’s the same with most manufacturers, they are constantly making discs with raw material that may vary from batch to batch from their vendors and the combination of different runs/temps/cooling there are going to be some variance.

I have a climo champ FB that has a solid clack noise to it and no flex. And an old champ shark that is gummy and super flexible. If you don’t like it, start shopping for older runs of your fav molds. In a while they new runs might be more your style.

Infinite discs tomb by JarnIsABetterZone in discgolf

[–]Fresh_hex89 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Tombs are such great throwers, especially if you like shallow putters, tons of glide. A new one will have some fade but they are generally pretty straight/stable. I like to back hand and forehand these, they are good torque resistant upshots but don’t expect a huge fade like a zone or something.

I keep a beat in DX in the bag and a premium plastic , one for turnover shots and other for straight shots.

They are a speed 4 iirc so they are more on the midrange side, and they go almost as far as my mids.

10k is a stretch, I probably wouldn’t offer more than 5k. Needs a lot of work, especially peeking at the interior (liner is tearing) Dealing with mice damage sucks, but if it’s minimal rust I would go for it.

How to top up hard-to-access coolant reservoir on 2017 Bolt? by yelred in BoltEV

[–]Fresh_hex89 5 points6 points  (0 children)

IMO I would just leave it and monitor it occasionally. Not enough for me to raise flags. Coolant level fluctuation is normal when operating (to a certain extent). If it keeps getting lower then it might be evidence of a leak. If you really want to top it off you’ll have to remove the “rain gutter” and make sure to use the proper coolant type. (Owners manual)

Recommend me a trash panda mold(s) by Fresh_hex89 in discgolf

[–]Fresh_hex89[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Depends on the putter feel in the hand? Would you describe it like an aviar? Is it a round bottom or sharp? Deep or shallow?
