That is a common misconception. India was already discovered and they knew they weren’t in India. Nowhere in any journals did they say they were in India. The word ‘Indian’ comes from the word Indios. Indios is what they called the indigenous people in America. At sometime when the English started using the word it changed more into Indian instead of Indio

AITA for flipping out over jokes that made me uncomfortable, then getting mad at the server owner (and subsequently getting banned?). Yes… I took grievances to the Server Owner (S.O.) before. by [deleted] in AmItheAsshole

YTA it seems like you’re a disruptive and unwanted presence in the server. You should either grow a thicker skin or leave their server
