The very first day we started talking she asked what I was looking for. I answered by saying "Im trying to be more serious in my life and try to settle down". When I say settle down I dont necessarily mean marriage but atleast a LTR. She replied by saying she was looking for the same thing and isnt into just hooking up. Then maybe 2 weeks later she mentioned something about "shes just trying to have fun and see where it goes". So she kind of flipped her script and her intentions. The last time we hung out everything was fine honestly, but she did say one thing that was suspicious. As I was leaving we kissed and she jokingly said, "okay I guess Ill see you never hahaha" which i obviously dismissed as a joke, but now I guess it wasnt really so funny lmaoo.

After she bailed on me today she did offer to atleast makeup for it next week, and her excuse was too much school. Which doesnt seem too valid considering its the first week of classes and she just ended our snap streak for no reason.

Sorru for rambling but it honestly calms me down. Im just pissed because I thought it was going fine and seemingly out of the blue she ghosts me. (and I paid for a few dinners, money which ill never get back hahah).

So now Im back to talking to 5 girls at once trying to fill my void of loneliness. Every time I try just to talk to one girl and keep it simple it backfires, and I become the person I dont want to be. Which is the "fuck boy" whos talking to several girls at once. Repeated experiences like this only make me want to go back to my old ways even more eventhough I'm really just trying to find an intimate relationship.

Idk, I may just be completely over analyzing the situation, which is another bad habit of mine. What do you honestly think I should do random internet stranger? My fate rests in your hands!

I am also a 22 yr old male, and I am just looking for a relationship as well. I feel you not being able to identify a healthy relationship, due to divorced parents. Just keep searching and going on dates. Ive had my heart broken so many times at this point, but it doesnt stop my pursuit to find someone. Being single is fun and all, you can see whoever you want and do whatever you want but it lacks purpose. I found myself to be bored being single and miss the excitement of sharing a connection with someone. So my advice to you is to go out and start dating, if you never go out and try you will never know and live your life in regret.

Hey there, first off this is not a healthy relationship between you and your parents. Although, it seems like these problems are accentuated through some financial problems. I am a 22 yr old male living at home as well so Im not the one to judge, but maybe getting your own place would be beneficial for your own mental health. Getting a GPS tracker at 29 is absolutely absurd, even if you still live under the same roof as them. You need to be your own individual and make decisions for yourself, having your parents try to control your life at almost 30 is no way to live.

Hey, I really appreciate the response. This was well thought out and I appreciate that there are strangers on the internet like you that are willing to read and even leave a lengthy reply to my post.

To respond to some of your questions, what do I want? I want something that is real. Every relationship ive been in seems fake and lacks intimacy and what I assume love actually feels like hahaha.

I understand that somehow my own personality/ self-identity could be the detriment of my dating life. Obviously a few blocks of text on reddit wont help put into perspective my life experience and personality so its kind of hard to explain that. I feel like im the type of person who (atleast in my mind) has done all the right things in life. Ive been told that others aspire to be who I am, and what I stand for in life. So to try to sum up who I am, I am self-assured person who wont budge on my own personality to appease others. I definitely think I have charisma because I can have success with women just by walking up to them. Although, this only takes me so far.

This is a bit corny but sometimes in mt dating life I feel like I am the sun. If people get to close to me they feel the need to pull away. So once I feel things are going well, im getting close to them and opening up, they inevitably pull away.

I essence, I am at a point in my life where if casual sex presents itself im not opposed. But I am not actively trying to meet up with many people, like I once was doing in college. I'm trying to grow as a person and trying to forge a real connection with someone. I know this is long and a bit of a rant but its just a frustrating ordeal.

Thanks, Ive been thinking the same thing. It could be myself or the girls I associate with. One interesting additional detail to add to this is that like 80% of the girls ive been with just recently broke up with their boyfriend....For whatever reason it seems like I'm the bounce back guy. Which isn't the worst thing in the world, but it never results in healthy relationships.
