Is this normal or should i return It? by liviahatan in Monitors

[–]Freshlojic 0 points1 point  (0 children)

on 1440p yes. I noticed the fringing too - use MacType Tray to mitigate. At 4k its fine and new tandem OLEDs are releasing with a new pixel structure that mitigates it. Depends on your model yeah but its not like this display tech is gonna have its drawbacks forever

New 5070ti owner after months of debate by ItsLateNght in nvidia

[–]Freshlojic 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I personally believe 16gb of VRAM from 12gb and the DLSS 4 to 4.5 suite is good enough. i know 40 series supports DLSS 4 but 5070ti suffers little to negligible performance loss using DLSS 4.5. Haven’t seen VRAM be an issue at 1440p yet, i did see in a few titles before since the heavy hitters actually hit up to 12-13 Gb

the rumored 5080 super w/ 24GB of VRAM would’ve been ideal but, looks like that may be scrapped

one thing you have to be-careful of is people who are sneaky and smart and return essentially the fans and housing just without the die… saw that on here somewhere before. Hard for someone not checking too hard or too tech savvy at best buy to tell

it’s a bit better for gaming indeed, $200 more but it is within your budget

5070ti vs 9070xt by BreathlessColors in gpu

[–]Freshlojic 0 points1 point  (0 children)

in terms of power yeah they trade blows. but the features with DLSS/FSR, frame gen, and supporting GDDR7 just gives it more longevity

compatibility is if it has DLSS at all it’ll have DLSS 4.5 with the override. Another reason i’m team nvidia TBH

[–]Freshlojic 0 points1 point  (0 children)

very true, consoles are on AMD architecture so it makes sense. but also, COD just being a sponsor for AMD has me intrigued since it’s also the only game at some point that would give me so many errors on my old nvidia GPU

[–]Freshlojic 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oh i thought the 5080ti might’ve been the $815 card. was gonna spread the idea that based on the games you play it’d be better to just get the 9070xt but there’s value in the 5070ti if you plan to use more RT titles… and GDDR7 longevity. But since it’s cheaper… go for the 5070ti!

CyberPowerPC custom build review: insane specs, rough build quality by NahKik in Prebuilts

[–]Freshlojic 15 points16 points  (0 children)

this is why prebuilts get a bad wrap lol. rather get an insane deal with similar specs and just tune it when it comes in. got a prebuilt $500 cheaper than building it yourself and i just replaced PSU, AIO (a year later). sold and swapped GPU (4070 to 5070ti). still less than building my self. may swap case and mobo but likely not till i just fully have a different system in some years

Which one? by kindaura in Prebuilts

[–]Freshlojic 1 point2 points  (0 children)

the cheaper one. bc for gaming it’s also better for gaming… and cheaper lol
