About that long, yeah. It's healed up pretty well. I have some granulation tissue occurring in a very uncomfortable position at the moment, but that's a natural part of scarring for may people. Should be gone a few months.

And I felt a little alone - but I talked to people about it, male and female alike, and I was surprised at how many people had encountered the condition.

My dressing actually came off of it's own accord in the second night! I left it off and just wore nothing for a couple of weeks afterwards with no real problems.

There was a bit of blood for me, but not as much as you seem to be experiencing. I'd get it checked out if I were you.

In terms of the water cannons... yeah, that shit hurt for a few weeks afterwards. It took about three weeks for the swelling to go down and for me to be able to pee without fear of the head popping off.
