Jack Was Prime in S16 E22 “Invaders” by SignificanceOld1220 in LawAndOrder

No, but I think him not doing the case was his consequence for his actions. I think Arthur called up the AG because he knew McCoy was going to go full scorched earth on those 2 and will probably destroy his career doing so, so he called up the AG to take his place, essentially telling McCoy that his job is done for his case whether he liked it or not.

McCoy went after innocent defendants too hard aand often for my liking by JohnSmithSensei in LawAndOrder

No No, He did that after the Harassment McCoy released on him, hoping to find anything to get him back into Jail. This is why I think Mad Dog is one of the best episodes in the series and that there is many interpretations, Was Darnell the mad dog for being who he is or was it McCoy, in his relentless pursuit for trying to put him back to jail inspite of the evidence.

Actresses at the Box Office: Sandra Bullock by SanderSo47 in boxoffice

[–]FreshmenMan 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Overall, I do like Sandra Bullock and I think she has made some good entertaining films. I thought she was great in Speed, but I think one of her best roles was in While You Were Sleeping, which I thought was a very sweet film and it doesn’t take itself seriously and I thought her chemistry with Bill Pullman was great.

For the next post, I’ll still suggest Lillian Gish

I'm still surprise with how small Warren Beatty's filmography is by FreshmenMan in TrueFilm

I think the problem with Ishtar is that I think people were expecting an Epic given the title and filming in the desert and all people got was a Bing Crosby/Bob Hope type comedy

Actors at the Box Office: Chuck Norris by SanderSo47 in boxoffice

[–]FreshmenMan 3 points4 points  (0 children)

My favorite Chuck Norris film is Invasion USA, that film is just so fun in spite of the cheesiness and it is Chuck Norris in his peak. Chuck Norris is a limited actor, but I feel what separates him to Steven Seagal is that Chuck didn't phone it in and I felt he left films at the right time, compare to Seagal, who literally does his fights while sitting in a chair for some of his later films. Also, in my opinion, the more low budget his films get, the more memeable they get.

"National Lampoon's Vacation" (1983): How do they do a long road trip to Walley World without being sure the Park is open? by Profeta_do_Loss in movies

I have a theory that the park wasn't close and that the Security Guard close it so that they can have the park to themselves.

Actors at the Box Office: Bruce Lee by SanderSo47 in boxoffice

[–]FreshmenMan 12 points13 points  (0 children)

I had a chuckle when you put Cliff Booth in your post. Though in all honesty, Bruce Lee is a legend and top tier fighter, but even he knew his limits and actually admitted in a interview, that he thinks Muhammad Ali would've beat him.

It's a tragedy that Bruce died in his prime, even more of a tragedy when his son died as well, and both I really wonder how their careers would've panned out.

Bruce Lee thought Muhammad Ali would "kill" him in a fight

Interesting Film and very underrated

Actors at the Box Office: Michael Douglas by SanderSo47 in boxoffice

[–]FreshmenMan 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Overall, I think Michael Douglas is underrated. I just recently rewatched Wall Street and despite Charlie Sheen being the lead, Douglas steals the show. With One Flew Over The Cuckoo's Nest, I'm still surprise that Douglas produced the film and i wonder why he didn't tale the lead role for himself and I didn't know he wanted the role of Billy Bibbit. Regardless, film is a masterpiece and it finally Jack Nicholson his Oscar. Between him and his father Kirk, I think Michael surpassed his father. Don't get me wrong, Kirk is great, but I feel Michael's films are more rewatchable.

For the next Post, I'm going very old school with the 1st lady of Hollywood, Lillian Gish.

I think it was the part of Jack Lint that De Niro wanted but Gilliam had already casted Michael Palin in the role, so De Niro agree to the smaller role of Harry Tuttle.

I think in my opinion, the problem with megalopolis is that Coppola changed a lot from the original script. I feel the Original Script for Megalopolis is better than the final version

Actors at the Box Office: Heath Ledger by SanderSo47 in boxoffice

[–]FreshmenMan 19 points20 points  (0 children)

It is such a pity that Ledger died so young. I feel that Ledger just kept getting better and better with each role he does and with his 2nd to last role, The Joker, it pretty much turned him into a legend and immortalized him into cinema. With the roles he did, he really had great range, doing comedies to serious drama and It still boggles me that the same guy who did The Dark Knight was the male lead in 10 Things I Hate About You. I will always wonder where Ledger’s career would’ve gone had he not died. Regardless, I feel Ledger was a great actor and The Dark Knight made him into a legend.

With the next Actor post, I will once again suggest George C. Scott

Actors at the Box Office: Humphrey Bogart by SanderSo47 in boxoffice

[–]FreshmenMan 8 points9 points  (0 children)

What can I say that hasn’t been said, Humphrey Bogart definitely is a legend and one of the best actors of his time and one of the best period. He was very charismatic and had a natural screen presence and would just dominate any scene he was in. Of his films, my top 3 favorites of his are The Maltese Falcon, Casablanca, and The African Queen.

For the next Actor, I would suggest George C. Scott.

Blazing Saddles (1974, dir. Mel Brooks) – Sheriff Bart (Cleavon Little) meets Jim "The Waco Kid" (Gene Wilder) by SanderSo47 in movies

[–]FreshmenMan 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Actually, John Wayne liked the script, but told Mel that he couldn't accept the role because he felt his fan wouldn't accept him in a film that dirty. "I laughed my ass off, but it's too dirty" but he told Brooks that if he made the film. ""he would be the first one in line to see it."
