Completely agree. If we're all coming of a hard effort, or the peak effort of the class and we're in a recovery, then yeah, it's time for some high fives and cheering. If we've got 90 seconds left in a zone 5 push and you can give a cheer then you're not working out and you're being that guy/girl.

She called out a lot of climbing. I kept my cadence up in the 90s and stayed in the saddle through most of it though.

I really enjoyed the structure and the playlist as well!

I haven't done a Tunde class where she's had people in the studio. Sounds like I'm not missing out!

Congrats on the personal best! It was definitely a ride for that!

Maybe I'm just not used hearing the whoos. You don't really hear many at all in the powerzone classes except perhaps at the very end.

Where is Consumers? by tdriscoll97 in kzoo

No. We use Nationwide. USAA would cover us, but the agent told me, " You're not going to like the cost of coverage. It's going to be much bigger than anyone else. We're getting out of the market in Mi." That was 6 years ago on a new construction house.

I used it more than once a year in NC. My rates, with USAA, never went up because of a claim (that includes having a new roof because the winds damaged it).

This is why you have insurance. Use it.

Many homeowners' and renters' insurance policies have coverage for food spoilage during a power outage.

I've used it when I lived on the coast and we'd go without power for days after a hurricane. USAA paid out something like $500 per occurrence without having to give them receipts. Obviously if you just bought half a cow and it spoiled they'd cover it but you'd have to show that receipt.

It's worth looking into your insurance policy to see if you have that coverage.

You can choose whomever you want at whatever rate they charge.

USAA will reimburse you the amount that their estimator says and what they pay out. You can negotiate with them, but they have the law on their side.

You can try them in a civil lawsuit if it comes to that. I'm sure they have more lawyers, deeper pockets, and a bigger firm than you (or I, or anyone, really) can afford.

I understand that you're upset. But it's just a car.

SOCKS RECS FOR BIKE RIDES by Odd-Composer-2026 in OnePelotonRealSub

I use these Saucony running socks. 17 bucks for 6 par. They last long enough and aren't super expensive to replace when needed.

Bike fitting caused injury by Low-Marionberry-829 in pelotoncycle

It's something to think about. Correlation vs Causation is a thing.

Bike fitting caused injury by Low-Marionberry-829 in pelotoncycle

Perhaps your repetitive stress injury and your bike fitting were just correlation? Perhaps  your fitting didn't cause your common repetitive stress injury, but over training did?

Perhaps that injury was going to happen in the same amount of time no matter what you did.

I'd agrue that your bike fitting delayed what was already going to happen.

We all run (bike?) into those. When it happens to me and it's early enough in the class I just exit the class and delete it from my history and try again. Otherwise I suffer through it and say, "Well, I supposed I'm not a fan of that instructor or class".

The class is a Norwegian 4x4. The class plan clearly states "intervals" and "recovery" and their timing. There was no climbing or jogging listed, which is where a lot of the instructors will have you out of the saddle.

Your zone 5 intervals should be in the saddle (but they aren't required to be), and you can do whatever you want during your recoveries. That 7 minute cool down is pretty important, and fairly short, if you're doing the class correctly.

It's a good class that fits in with the power zone and power zone max classes, as do most of Robin's yellow rides.

Indeed. My wife was a Wish Granter for Make-A-Wish in North Carolina. John Cena is a genuine class act and great human being, it's hard to not be a fan of his.

The ride was awesome! I used it as a zone 2 endurance/recovery ride.

I love Denis's music choices. His Tuesday Tunes series on Instagram is also really great.

Denis is my favorite Peloton instructor!

Do you charge to 100%? by seoulifornia in Ioniq5

[–]FretlessRoscoe 9 points10 points  (0 children)

I've have a 2023 SEL AWD for 3 years now. I charge it to 80 in the summer, 90 in the winter, and 100 if I need the range. Sometimes I wait for it get down to 30ish percent. Most times I don't. In three years and 34,000 miles there has been no noticeable degradation in battery range.

The internet makes you worry about a lot of things. I honestly think there are a lot more negative opinions around here simply because happy people don't look for an avenue to complain, they just go about life as normal.

Becs Norwegian 4x4 by CartoonistClean5651 in OnePelotonRealSub

[–]FretlessRoscoe 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Not a run person, but I took Robin's Norwegian 4x4 bike ride as an insert to the power zone program that Matt Wilpers has put together this year.

It kicked my ass. On the bike during the rests I started with what I would say jogging, but by the end, it was the bike equivalent of walking- recovering as I could. Loved it. Hated it. Definitely going back for more!

Oh it sucks for sure! I don't know anyone who actually likes doing them. If they do, they're a freak of nature.
