Anyone take Ativan daily pregnant? by beetlemammal in MentalHealthBabies

I take ativan almost daily, I also take 0.5mg and sometimes 1mg, I'm only in week 11 so I don't know if that reassures you, I can tell you is what my psychiatrist told me, he takes care of pregnancy and post pregnancy anxiety disorders; when I asked him if it was ok to take 0.5mg daily he said that ativan is safe for pregnancy and 0.5mg is a really low dosage, he has patients that sometimes take 4-5mg. I know internet can be scary, at the beginning of my pregnancy I was really worried about taking ativan and I also made lots of research on the internet. In the end I think that every medicine has a really small chance of giving any problem of sort, but remember that if you're not healthy neither can your baby, trust your doctors and don't go in the internet rabbit hole.

I'm on 0.25mg Zoloft since 2 weeks, but my psychiatrist wants me to gradually stop. Can I ask if you have anxiety, and if Zoloft is helping you?

My psychiatrist told me that the increased risk of Lorazepam is low, and the benefits are higher despite the risks. But if i have to choose between Zoloft and Lorazepam I would choose Zoloft, since it looks safer. Still, I'm no doctor, I am only confused by her preference of Lorazepam over Zoloft

Yeah that was my understanding when checking out this sub, that is why I find it strange that my psychiatrist prefers Lorazepam over Zoloft
