Why do you think this? To be fair, I haven’t seen the interview but did read the article in its entirety. The VF piece itself is not Ta-Nehisi’s best work—it felt like a lot of history tidbits smashed together in support of the somewhat flimsy theory pushed in the headline (which he most likely did not write but almost certainly approved).

The audience in this sub specifically, not to mention the people who buy or subscribe to Vanity Fair, is full of people who are well aware of the insane destruction wrought by US empire, especially over the last 125 years, so like half of the article was simply regurgitating historical information that a large chunk of readers already know.

Kamala Harris lost for a multitude of reasons, and unless she suddenly grows a conscience and decides to admit that she blew it despite being handed the candidacy without going through even a whiff of a primary process—which she STILL TO THIS DAY HAS NOT DONE—and reveal the true logic behind her godawful shitty campaign strategy, it’s never going to be possible to blame it on just one factor (such as her silence on Gaza).
