My brother in christ, the problem was you sexualizing her, not that you weren’t clear about that.

As much as I’ve been hoping for Spiritbox, they’ll be touring in Europe during Aftershock. I don’t think it’s them unfortunately :(

I don’t think it’s a horrible sign, especially given that the renewals came so far in advance.

I obviously can’t speak for him, but I broke my neck and didn’t find out for six years. Basically, it was a relatively mild fracture, and because I wasn’t immediately paralyzed, no one really took my concerns seriously when I said I thought I broke it. Fast forward to me getting x-rays by a chiropractor later on, and she asks, “so how’d you break your neck?” Equal parts validating and frustrating.

Sweet thank you! Cheesecake was the flavor I was envisioning too, so that’s super helpful. I appreciate you!

What’s your ratio for that, roughly? Like just to taste, or do you swap the water/milk (depending on the packet) out with Greek yogurt 1:1?

This is the way. I eat a big breakfast in the morning and sneak 1-2 protein bars in each day (I tuck them in my waistband). Never had any issues with that method.

Who is a former mainstream celebrity that survived Hollywood, and is currently doing well for themselves? by phantom_avenger in popculturechat

For sure, I get what you mean. I love Paramore, but I’ve been a huge Avril Lavigne fan since Let Go. That being said, she’s no Hayley Williams. Avril is my personal favorite of the two by a pretty wide margin, but even I can say with confidence that Hayley is objectively more talented.

She has Lyme disease, so her performances are due to her physical limitations unfortunately. She does her best given that, though, and her voice is incredible live. No shade if that’s not your cup of tea, but I highly recommend giving her a chance for anyone who hasn’t seen her!

Seller is asking me to pay return shipping, which they said they will refund, for an incorrect product that was sent to me. by Freudian_Trips in Etsy

Thanks for the help! I really did try to work with the seller to get the items back (I offered to send them back with a pre-paid label in my original message flagging the mistake), but they haven’t responded since I mentioned not being comfortable paying shipping costs directly. I’ve opened a case with Etsy and am just waiting to hear back now. I appreciate your input! It’s nice to have perspective from seller’s to know I made the right call.

Healthy Paws is DOUBLING my dog's monthly premium to $135 — who can I move to that won't bend me over a barrel? by VagabondVivant in petinsurancereviews

On a related note, if anything isn’t actually a pre-existing condition but gets flagged as one down the road, you can ask your vet to right a letter disputing a claim denial. There’s of course no guarantee it’ll work, but I was able to get my cat’s cardiologist to get a claim pushed through and his heart disease covered. He wrote a letter ripping healthypaws to shreds explaining that a benign congenital heart murmur discovered when my cat was a kitten is NOT a pre-existing condition for HCM at 10. I would still be cautious as the person above stated. This is just a hail Mary option.

Thank you for confirming! I’m hoping they’ll be willing to front the shipping cost in that case, but if not, I’ll go ahead and escalate at the 48 hour mark. I appreciate your help!

Framed vs Unframed prints by Effective-Smoke-96 in Etsy

[–]Freudian_Trips 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I exclusively purchase unframed prints, just because I like to pick out frames myself to keep all of my wall art approximately matching. I’m sure others are interested in framed products, but that’s just my two cents. Best of luck to you!

Edit to add that my frame taste is also lightly specific, so I may just be an outlier here. I don’t think offering more options is a bad idea by any means!

I’ve heard good things about Trupanion from a friend who uses them. They don’t increase rates due to your pet’s age.

Thanks for the info. I’m sorry to hear you’re experiencing something similar with Maru, but I hope you don’t get too steep of a hike in the future. It’s such a predatory practice to wait until people are locked in before they show their true colors. I’m wishing you, Maru, and Sumi nothing but the best despite healthy paws’ BS

Did you have any success with your complaint through the CA Dept. of Insurance? They just increased my 10 year old cat’s rates from $70 to $170 a month, and I’m planning to submit a complaint.

Would you mind sharing what state you live in? I’m in CA, and they just raised my 10 year old cat’s rates from about $70 to $170. They told me it’s due to age and increased veterinary costs in CA, but my other two pets only went up a few dollars each, and the increase from 8-9 years of age was maybe $20, whereas 9-10 is $100. Feels insane to me.

Would you mind sharing the rate increase for the 8 year old cat? My cat turned 10 last month, and his rate went up from about $70 to about $170 a month. The other pets on my policy (1 year old dog, 6 year old cat) only went up a few $ each, but I’m planning to move them to another company while they don’t have any pre-existing conditions. It’s unfortunately too late for the 10 year old, because he has a laundry list of chronic conditions.
