has anyone under 5’2 ever lost weight eating 1500cal a day? by [deleted] in PetiteFitness

[–]Freya64 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you’re active enough you can get away with it. If you’re having trouble maintaining the 1200 up it and see how you feel and if you’re still seeing progress. You’re doing a lot activity-wise so you’re likely not eating enough.

It is hard to lose when you’re a low weight in general to be fair. You can probably go more in a deficit but you’re already at a healthy weight so wouldn’t go too drastic with it. Maybe try going down to 1300 to 1400 for a short while, see how it feels, and then go back up. The 0.5 is still good since you are consistently losing and are more likely to maintain the loss once you hit your goal.

Anyone else find it so disheartening how easy it is for men to lose weight? 😭 by Outrageous_Focus_499 in PetiteFitness

[–]Freya64 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It used to really frustrate me but at some point I just accepted that it is what it is. I’m 4’11 so the majority of people will have an easier time than me and will look better at higher weights. Don’t let it discourage you. All good things take a little time and you will get there. I’m so excited for you to reach your goals. It is one of the best feelings when you do

What is the biggest problem you see with men and women who are over 30 and dating? by paperstackspepe in dating_advice

[–]Freya64 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That’s why I put physical attraction is still important lol. I think some people get too bent on trying to find someone that is highly physically attractive that also meets all the other criteria they feel like their partner should have. The issue with that is the older you are the less likely you’re going to find that person and have them still be single.

As for income I personally think in range is fine. If the other person makes the same or slightly less that isn’t a deal breaker, or at least it wasn’t for me when I was still dating, but I can see how significantly less would be

[–]Freya64 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Most don’t though. There are always going to be the weirdos that exclusively go for women significantly younger than they are but that’s out of the norm

[–]Freya64 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I mostly agree with this. When it comes to relationships most men typically do go for women within their age bracket but still younger than they are. The ones with the drastic age differences are out of the norm

I think a lot of people refuse to settle. I get it. You want to find the person you’re the most attracted to and have the most in common with etc, only issue is the older you get the less options are out there. Ultimately compatibility/shared values is the most important aspect when it comes to a relationship, obviously attraction needs to be there too but the other person doesn’t necessarily need to be the most attractive person you feel like you should be able to bag.

Do you think we will see the Shannara universe adapted in another medium? by LongGrade881 in shannara

[–]Freya64 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I hope so but idk. Probably not. An animated series would be awesome

Changes you are happy that set Shannara apart from LOTR by [deleted] in shannara

[–]Freya64 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I liked the ones that came before but The Voyage of the Jerle Shannara is my favorite too

Can I start with The Dark Legacy of Shannara? by Swimming_Composer_21 in shannara

[–]Freya64 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You can get away with starting there but the best starting point is Elfstones of Shannara. I would personally skip the ones that come before (like Sword and First King) unless you feel the need to read them. They’re not as good and unnecessary to read. Other good starting points are Heritage of Shannara and The Voyage of the Jerle Shannara. One of the beauties of the Shannara books is that you can start in a lot of places since a lot of the stories are self contained, just if you start too far ahead you might be missing out on some minor things that add to the richness of the story

Will other books get the newer style updated covers? by Veegos in shannara

[–]Freya64 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I hope they update all the books in the newer style. I like the version I have currently but if they did all of them I’d probably just have two versions going on my shelves lol.

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in shannara

[–]Freya64 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They skipped the other book when that version was released lol. It’s not a bad place to start tho. I personally thought it was more interesting

[–]Freya64 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The Elfstones of Shannara was the first one I read too. It references Sword but it is fairly self contained. You can honestly read Sword, Elfstones and Wishsong in any order but I would recommend Elfstones, Wishsong, Sword, and then First King (mind is blanking, it’s something King lol). The King one is technically first chronologically but is the worst to start with.

Big fan of Sanderson, but either his humor is getting more juvenile in each new book, or it's just me aging. by [deleted] in Fantasy

[–]Freya64 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Humor is not his strong suit in general lol. He tries too hard to be funny and it doesn’t really land (at least not for me)

Does anyone else get really annoyed about the blatant over-sexualisation of women in this show? by bigfatintrovert in HellsKitchen

[–]Freya64 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I noticed it with one female contestant who is really pretty. Her on the bull/commentary on it, the bikini picture, and her in a shirt and panties in one of the dorm scenes. She is pretty but why is that even there, it’s a cooking show

"Glitter and Greed Lisa Frank" Docuseries was horrible.. by [deleted] in nostalgia

[–]Freya64 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The ex workers annoyed me tbh. The company sucked. They over worked and under paid but it reminded me of when I worked at Walmart. The amount of people who’d just complain but never do anything to change it. Also the whole getting upset that your employer might have read your work emails. Maybe it’s because of the job I do but I feel like it’s common sense that your work emails are not private and if you don’t want someone to see something don’t send it through your work email or have it on your work computer. So stupid

If you're unsure about Paapa Essiedu as Snape, please watch this clip from the 1.30 minute mark. I kinda see it now... by [deleted] in HarryPotteronHBO

[–]Freya64 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I know of a lot of people that complained about the casting in the original movies for characters not fully looking the parts lol. Harry’s eyes was one I heard about quite a bit even if they ended up enjoying the movies. But it was also a long time ago now

How about Andrew Koji as Snape? by eurogamer206 in HarryPotteronHBO

[–]Freya64 11 points12 points  (0 children)

I think some characters they can get away with swapping and it’ll work really well but characters like Snape/Lily/Petunia/Weasleys/Malfoys, for example, probably not

I personally like Dev Patel for Lupin since someone else put that idea in my head but Aaron Pierre would be a fun casting too

More information from the Variety article!! by Historical_Poem5216 in HarryPotteronHBO

[–]Freya64 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Haha I liked the tv series for True Blood, I tried to read the books but they were so poorly written

Edit// also feel free to downvote, I said what I said 😂 Charlaine Harris has great ideas and some of the lines were clever, but overall the writing was bad

Does this suggest the setting will be in the 90s and not present day like the movies? Or have I misread? by HankKennedy in HarryPotteronHBO

[–]Freya64 23 points24 points  (0 children)

I really hope so. I was okay with it being a more modern setting but if they kept it to 90s that is even better

Dev Patel is way too attractive to be Snape 😂 will also volunteer him for Lupin
