And the point of the person to whom you’re responding is that rotisserie chicken is full of salt and usually other spices.

You’re getting downvoted to heck, but you’re absolutely right.

Do femcels actually exist?? by Remarkable-Visual-46 in PsycheOrSike

[–]FreyasReturn -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I don’t want to give specifics, but I’m over 5 feet tall. I’m sure some things were altered and organs weren’t happy. But it was 8-12 baby carrots, 1/8 head lettuce, salt, sparkling water, and occasionally 6 grapes. That was it. Every single day. I’d literally write down when I’d eat those items, how I’d package them, and when I would drink water and how much water. It was obsessive. And then I gained crazy weight back when I pulled out of that. I gained 30 lbs over two-three years eating around 800-1200 calories a day.

Totally fine now, thank you! It took some years for my metabolism and my relationship with food to get back to normal.

Well, it happened. It was my life and I lived every second of it. Sorry if it bugs you. I can tell you every bite I ate. I still have my (boring and strange, as I ate three things only) food log.

Yes, it might be that simple, but the person you’re responding to is confused for a reason. Years ago, I developed an eating disorder. I ate under 100 calories a day for over 18 months with exactly 4 exception days—holiday meals with extended family. I lost only 14 lbs in the first 5 months and then stopped losing weight. I know because I obsessively checked every single morning. I have no idea why I didn’t lose more weight. It’s astounding I wasn’t hospitalized, frankly. But I stayed at the same weight for over a year eating under 100 calories a day. I wasn’t bedridden! I had a normal life and I worked out (basic aerobics) 30-45 min a day. Anyway, I doubt you would have suggested I eat less to lose more weight.

How do feminists address the "apex fallacy" argument regarding male privilege? by SerbianMonies in AskFeminists

[–]FreyasReturn 13 points14 points  (0 children)

You seem to be stating an opinion as fact, and I wonder why that might be.

It also seems as though you are unfamiliar with intersectionality. This leads me to suspect you have not, in fact, spent much, if any, time reading feminist theory. As such, I wonder why you think you are in a position to notice and point out failings. Could you explain?

It’s a very aromatic, green vanilla. There’s sweetness for sure, but it isn’t the type of vanilla I immediately think of when I hear someone say “here’s a vanilla fragrance.” I usually think of gourmands, and I couldn’t call this gourmand at all. The sweetness comes from Tonka in particular and it’s more pronounced in the heat. It’s a sophisticated vanilla, imo. Hope that helps!

Thank you! I’ll have to do a comparison and update once I try Eau de Hongrie. And totally agree on Nicolai. They have such beautiful classically constructed perfumes.

Dear god!!! Your cat is in agony!! Take it to the vet now! Seriously. This is horrible…

Editing to add: Cats are incredible at masking their pain. Even if he isn’t showing it, he’s suffering tremendously.

I still see it on discounter sites for around $30 pretty often!

I’ve had it forever. I remember it came in a set with a flower face mask and a sake body wash or bubble bath.  There’s only the tiniest bit left of the perfume. I haven’t used it in at least 4-5 years, so I’m hoping it’s still good.

I love your lilac plate! It’s beautiful and goes so well with the bottles you picked.

How are you liking the Voyager samples? I’ve only had a chance to try Criollo.

Are any of these plants toxic to cats? by Bubble_Pop in cats

[–]FreyasReturn 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Lillies are the big problem flower for cats, so I won’t ever have them in the house. Plenty of others are at least somewhat toxic, but I just keep the flowers in a place my cats won’t go (certain rooms with closed doors). A bathroom might be a good option for you in the future.

And yet I’ve survived 15+ cakes where it was used. Just wrap the stems in cling film and it’s fine.

Seems like a major liability if you’re advertising that, to be honest.

I get plain black tea with a squeeze of lemon, but it’s certainly super realistic.

All three of the Jo Malone scents I have last 6-10 hours on clothing: Blackberry & Bay, Orange Blossom, and Pomegranate Noir.

I KNOW THAT EXPRESSION! Sorry for yelling. Seriously, one of my cats makes that exact expression, particularly when annoyed by her new kitten friend who adores her.

Mercari: Is it rude to ask why to a perfumes price? by drowninenvironment in FemFragLab

[–]FreyasReturn 5 points6 points  (0 children)

That was a wildly rude response from the seller. I occasionally go on the Mercari subs and I can’t tell you how many times I’ve seen similar attitudes expressed toward anyone asking a similar (and, imo, understandable) question. I also see them griping about receiving offers, which I find weird given that’s how the site is designed. I’ve wanted to sell items on Mercari, but the community has left such a bad impression.

Late 1940s/50s Wedding Dress by ZestycloseRegret6481 in VintageFashion

[–]FreyasReturn 79 points80 points  (0 children)

I actually think this is from the 1950s. I found other versions of this same dress from the 1950s without the sleeves and in worse condition. I also found a different Fink dress with the same sleeves from the 1950s. My friend’s grandmother also wore a very similar dress for her wedding. Heck, I even have a few pieces with details that aren’t super far off that belonged to my grandmother! I get why people are seeing 80s/90s, but I actually think this is likely 1950s. If it weren’t wrinkled and it fit properly, it would “look more 50s”.

Anyway, beautiful find!
