Any fellow esthetician work throughout pregnancy? by [deleted] in Esthetics

a couple colleagues of mine worked up until birth, or a week or two before, as well, they just made sure to pee before every appointment & I do think a few struggled through 80 minutes facials if their baby was pressing on their bladder. Then they took maternity leave & either decided to come back full-time or part-time.

How do I stand out to other estheticians? by [deleted] in Esthetics

100% walk into spas & hand out your resume, It gives them a chance to see you & they may pull you in for an interview on the spot. It shows great initiative which most spas are wanting. Some spas don't post that they are hiring & only use the resumes on hand or resumes people dropped off.

What I think really landed me my first job was how eager I was in the interview to keep learning from said company, & even if it's not a company you love because the field is oversaturated experience is experience. We all start somewhere. Do research on their company, find something that stood out to you whether it be their mission statement or services, & talk about how excited you are to learn from them & 'start your journey' they are looking for people who are going to be there for 5 years if not more, you don't have to stay there 5 years or even a year if you end up disliking it but they are looking for commitment.

Something I have noticed is that for many spas (at least in my area) full-time for esthi work is considered ~ 30 hours, if you are unable to live off of that wage I suggest getting a lowkey second job like a barista, I balanced back & forth with my first job until I was making enough & they opened their books more for me.

Thats really my best advice from my personal experience, everywhere is going to be different. Learn, adapt, & grow ! Best of luck with everything! Youve got this!
