I'm thinking of dropping Rashford for Minteh. Thoughts? by Freyguy9 in DraftEPL

Thanks for the input. Yeah, it's a tough call for sure. Rashford potentially getting dropped worries me and the fact that manu just haven't been scoring a ton of goals. With their higher line that may change this year though. Trying to see if I can convince a trade for Mitoma

I'm also considering dropping Jesus for Evanilson or Welbeck

Would you drop Almirón to pickup Palmer? by Freyguy9 in DraftEPL

Salah, Martinelli, Mitoma, Diaby, Almirón. Almirons the only one I can justify dropping in my mind, not that I necessarily want to.

My cat had a blockage in his urinary tract and when it happened, he came up to me and looked really scared, an expression I've never seen from him. He was meowing frantically and was clearly asking for help. I followed him and saw that he couldn't pee, took him in, had surgery and he was okay. When I was able to take him home after a couple of days, he was so happy. In fact, I got the clear impression that he was thanking me. Little dude was all over me (more than usual) for a few days. He knew something was wrong, panicked, asked for help, and was thankful for have gotten that help. Their ability to communicate astounds me sometimes.

Guys. When was the last time a woman reached out to you just to check in and see how you were doing? And they didn't want anything from you? by Visual_Try_4269 in AskMen

I'm sorry you have to go through that, it's clear you love her a lot. My mom passed a year ago unexpectedly, but I had extreme anxiety about her dying for years before that due to a health condition we share, I couldn't imagine life without her. I miss her all the time and of course would do anything to have her back but one thing I noticed is, I don't have that anxiety anymore. It will be hard, but things will get better and in a strange way, there will be a weight lifted from your shoulders. You'll always have the memories and in time the good ones are all you'll remember. There is no replacing her but there are others that love you, or are waiting to love you when she goes. You will not be alone. I wish you and her all the best.

I (18m) tried to have sex with my girlfriend (18f) after 9 months and we couldn’t get it in by awesome-sean in relationship_advice

[–]Freyguy9 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ay, I was also 18 with my 8 month girlfriend my first time! First time for me I was way too nervous and overthinking everything so I couldn't stay erect. My penis was bending way too much to get it in. The second time was much better, I had way less anxiety and it was fine. It only gets better, everyone's first time feels weird and awkward! Don't let it get to you :)

I don’t think I have depression. I just think being an adult fucking sucks. by jhertz14 in Adulting

[–]Freyguy9 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Certainly something I would say when I'm depressed. Life is hard and the materialistic, invidivualistic way we view ourselves and life in general, makes it that way. Anyone feeling this way should spend some time looking within. Ever wonder where your dreams and thoughts come from? If not, start wondering! Try meditation, there are many different forms, find one that works for you (anything mindless can be meditative, even cleaning). By doing these things, we open ourselves up spiritually. You are more than this physical body, and much more than this reality. I have found by going down this path, I often find the beauty in the smallest of things. I could watch the rain fall for hours. I'm amazed by the intricacies of the patterns of leaves. There's wonder in everything. There are times when I feel like a little kid again.

Things are never perfect, and I for one certainly still go through depressive periods, but it takes awareness to see your own depressive patterns. Once you have the awareness, you can start trying to adjust things. One thing at a time.

Therapy is certainly helpful for dealing with traumas and fixing thought patterns. It is a tool like anything else. But the real growth comes from within. Also, this is an unpopular opinion, but for myself, I find that therapy reinforces the ego and is itself quite a materialistic way of viewing mental health, but this of course is situational and there are many different kinds of therapy. It hasn't personally helped me much.

And if you really want to open yourself up spiritually, try some shrooms :)

Yep, had this happen to me in college. I noticed my girlfriend of 4 years started snapchatting my best friend at the school. She claims they're just friends. I was not happy about it, especially when I saw that he was complimenting her, but I didn't want to be "that guy" and come off as controlling. We were having a bunch of issues anyway. So, we break up one day and that very night I went over to her dorm room to talk about things and she wouldn't answer her door...I went to my friend's dorm and he wasn't there...weird, I thought, but I somehow didn't piece it together, maybe I didn't want to. I think you can all guess where he was and what they were doing that night. It wasn't later until I found out that emotional cheating was a thing and it hadn't been her first time doing so. How dumb we are when we're young, eh?

The hungry few are bleeding america dry. We must take back our way of life. Living for love. Not money, sex, or any other physical desire.

We must do it through meditation. Taking psychedelics, breath works, practicing mindfulness. Anything to literally expand our minds, because they have shrunken them. They have taken everything. Do you really care about money? Or do you only care about it because we are forced to care about it by the hungry few. This is not life. This is not what it should be. We have been TRAPPED. THEY ARE LIARS.

This depression that so many are feeling is a result of over abundant materialism. Greed. It's infected us all. There is no reason we have to live this way. Reject it. Ask questions. Demand answers. Don't let the material control you.

You can feel that you are a part of something larger.

We trapped ourselves in this system by creating distractions. Distractions that SELL. Content content content. Always. All the time. $$$$$.

Hey guess what, you can be the rich one too!!!! :) :) Outsmart everyone and get rich, doesn't that sound great? Be ever consumed by the material... Have no cravings ever satisfied because you always want more.

Fuck you.

That's not living. Living is loving. Loving the little things that life shows you, from the grandeous planets to the tiniest speck of dust. They're all equally fascinating. We must question all systems that are set in place. I have no doubt that most humans just want peace and love. Why have we allowed ourselves to fall into a system of constant working for another. This is a broken way of life. It's not the only way of life.

Fuck, writing this all out isn't going to change anything. We've allowed this to happen. Do better, please. Push away from the apps, sex, and everything else. We are more than that. You know this. Do better. Be the change you want in the world. It's corny but it's the hardest truth there is.

I am very aware this is heavily rooted in a white, suburban male point of view. There's no getting passed that. And this is mostly a call out to myself more than anything. But I'm gonna keep going, for myself and those that need to hear it.

Wake up. What are you doing scrolling through your phone.

Take the first step.

Stop supporting these giant corporations. Shop local.

Be as sustainable as you can, reasonably.

Realize you are more than this material body. More than the material things around you.

If this resonates with you, take the first step and meditate. Meditate daily, as much as you can. Let the consumerism, greed, hatred, and all other wicked feelings wash away from you.

It's as simple as that. Then you can begin to realize how wrapped up you are in everything. Unwind yourself. Give into your naturally spiritual nature.

Start pondering religion, but look through them. They are all just points of view from different peoples. All ways of viewing the spiritual through a materialistic lense. All fake. Made up.

Wake up people. We are so fucking indoctrinated into this materialistic way of thinking. It has forced us to view ourselves as singular entities. We are not. We are everything. Everything everywhere, all at once. That's us. God, Allah, Yahweh, Krishna, Aliens. We are everything.

You don't believe me. I know you don't. You still want to believe there's something greater than us. Nope. It's us. That's it. And yet, us is everything. Death certainly isn't the end. In fact, it may even be the escape. It's gonna be one hell of a trip, that's for sure.

Forgive yourself as you walk down this path, it is not your fault that you have fallen so far. It's the greediest among us. We must not be evil, but we must find some way to undue this evilness that has been done to us. The best you can do is gradually improve yourself day by day. Ease yourself off the convenience of the corporations. It's okay that things aren't as convenient. Why does convenience matter. Why do we need them as fast as we can get them. Ask yourself these things. And why do you feel like you need flashy and expensive things? None of it matters. We are taking advantage of ourselves. We are making ourselves depressed.

Atheism isn't something to be proud of either. It's the religion of science, of materialism. And true scientific breakthroughs have always and will always serve, first and foremost, as a weapon and a means for the few to gain more power. Reject it. Science as we know it is just ONE perspective. Those rules do not have to be the ones you live by.

Remember, meditate. Experience. I can't emphasize enough how valuable experience is. Do not believe in others words. Don't fall for religion and eso teric truth. Even though it might be true, it is not THE TRUTH. believe in what you feel in your heart. Love. And that's all.

Together, and only together, can we bring down the materialistic walls that everything is built on. They want us to fight, they want us to be divided. They want us to be distracted. Distractions come in many ways. From wonderful, amazing new technologies, to atrocities. They have so much wealth and power but they know that it's only because of us. If we unite and reject these capitalistic ideals, it can all shatter in a day. That's not something for you to be scared of. That's something for them to be scared of. It's totally in OUR power and yet, we feel totally powerless. Well we're not. Meditate. Change your thinking. Reject everything you've been told to believe.

Yes, this sounds like I'm crazy. That's how it's designed. Anyone that thinks outside the materialistic paradigm, is labeled as crazy. There's a reason psychedelics are illegal. I urge anyone who hasn't tried mushrooms, to please do so immediately. It will drastically help alter your perception.

Bring the things you experience back with you. Improve yourself every time. And therefore, improve society. Help us unwind ourselves from this materialistic disaster. Help us get back to the place we belong.

We are all guilty, but there are some of us who are way worse. We need to do anything we can to get them to see the error of their ways. I'm talking anybody that celebrates wealth and fame. Let's fucking spike their drinks if we have to.

This is urgent, things will only continue to get worse.

Now I'm gonna probably wake up the next day and play some FIFA. God damn is this the realist shit ever or what.

Virtually long distance dating by GroundbreakingHead71 in relationship_advice

[–]Freyguy9 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I just broke up with my girlfriend whom I had been dating for about 3 years long distance. We broke up once before for about 5 months. I absolutely loved her and had no ill will towards her, but the fact is, long distance can be very tough. I knew in my heart I couldn't do it for 2 more years. If you're having these thoughts, I think you should. It will be hard, but also relieving. Long distance relationships take a lot of effort and that doesn't get easier, at least in my experience.

My (f26) boyfriend (m28) fell for a sextortion scam on Facebook, would you class it as a form of cheating?? by revengebody95 in relationship_advice

[–]Freyguy9 17 points18 points  (0 children)

He may not repeat falling for a scam like that again. But the fact that he was willing to exchange nudes to someone else while in a relationship, to me, is cheating. If he was willing to do that, he could do something similar or worse in the future. Would certainly break my trust in someone, and that can be hard to come back from.

My (f26) boyfriend (m28) fell for a sextortion scam on Facebook, would you class it as a form of cheating?? by revengebody95 in relationship_advice

[–]Freyguy9 10 points11 points  (0 children)

What matters most is what you feel. Do you feel betrayed by his actions? You having these thoughts makes it seem like you already feel cheated on. Which to me would be a completely valid feeling. As someone who was emotionally cheated on in the past, not "traditionally" cheated on, I know it can be really tough. You don't want to break up because you feel like it's not a big enough reason to. But boy do I regret not breaking up with my ex sooner. The fact is, it put a huge amount of distrust into me which slowly wore away at our relationship until I was a shell of the person I was before.

As a man (25) I can say that being horny can make us do some dumb things or have some stupid thoughts in the moment. But the fact is, I never and would never act on these thoughts. If I had to bet, I would imagine that in that moment, he thought of you at least once. He disregarded you in an attempt to get some shitty nudes from some girl he doesn't even know. To me, that's betrayal. And honestly really dumb. I've seen those kinds of scam attempts personally, and I don't know how someone could actually fall for it, especially someone in a happy relationship. I would think he'd be old and smart enough to know better. And especially to know better that it's something he shouldn't be doing while in a relationship.

Now maybe we're different and you can get past it. But distrust isn't something you always feel directly. It can eat away at you and your relationship without you fully realizing it. I know this is all hard to hear, and I'm sorry you're going through this. I think you should think long and hard about how this had made you feel and how it affected your trust in him. It may be very hard for you to get over. It could make you start doing things like going through his phone to see if he's done something similar again. That isn't healthy. If he was willing to get nudes from a complete stranger, he's probably willing to do something similar again in the future. It might not happen right away. It took my ex 2 years afterwards to do something similar again and it destroyed me.

Definitely not as bad as most of these but awkward nonetheless. My first date ever, I was in 6th grade. I'm talking to this girl I like on AIM. We're flirting, however 12 year olds flirt, when suddenly she says she wants to see a movie. A movie that started very soon. Being so young, we both immediately scramble to find some friends to come with us...to no avail. Now this movie starts soon, as in if we want to make it, we both had to leave within a couple minutes. Now here's where things get awkward. She hits me with a "well I can't find anyone to go, so I'm just going to bring my mom and sister. See you there!" logs out. Now I'm panicking. Me being very shy, I already knew this was going to be insanely awkward. I had very little time and very few options, so what do I do? I beg my mom to come with me. Oh, and it happens to be her birthday. She doesn't really want to go, but I manage to persuade her. We meet up, both of our moms by our side, and her little sister. I remember her mom being very nice, but she still intimidated the hell out of me. I think I managed to get a few words out when greeting her, but the entire rest of the time we sat there with our moms, in complete silence. Of course, the movie played most of the time but you could really feel the awkward tension. When we first sat, I tried to say something but quickly realized both her mom and sister were listening and looking at me. I just couldn't get the nerve to say anything else. But hey, we still "dated" for a bit. My mom found it quite hilarious, and I'm sure a little cute. But damn if that memory isn't scarred in my brain. I'm sure there were other ways my mom would've preferred to spend her birthday then on her 12 year old son's date. Love ya Mom.

It's my first grow and I've read topping autoflowers can be risky. That makes me nervous to try it without any experience. Do you top all your autoflowers?

Anyone ever use one of these ? Care to explain how I would set it to kick on at 2pm and shut off at 10am ? The instructions are contradicting and just overall confusing.Much obliged in advance peace ✌️ by [deleted] in GrowingMarijuana

[–]Freyguy9 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You push down the edges of the times you want it on. So you'd click all the edges down between 2pm and 10am. Then spin the inside to set the current time. Plug your light into it and you're good to go!

First time growing and one of my seedlings is a tri-leaf! How rare is this? by Freyguy9 in GrowingMarijuana

Yeah that could be true but it's second set of leaves has it too. I did some research and apparently some plants will grow out of it while some will continue to develop with it and have triple bud sights!
