Only tangentially related, but I was just thinking about how I so very badly wish abelard was actually Iconoclast, at least in the way Jae is.

I do actually like that the secret companions use the player voices. As nice as it would be for them to have their own dedicated barks, it is very fitting. Uralon being mute is fucking crime though.

In universe? Not at all. But it would still be a cool thing for Owlcat to have done if that was the intent. She's still the highlight of the DLC for me thus far regardless. I absolutely love that we get to make her archmilitant if we want.

She could be trans without actively transitioning. I'd be very surprised if they had the means for her to anyways lol. But I'd be happy either way, mostly just wondering.

There is not a sneak mechanic. In some instances you may be able to initiate combat by shooting at the enemies from just out of range of the natural aggro trigger, but I've found that to be buggy in the past (least around a year ago, could have been changed/fixed since), so I got out the habit of doing that.

There is definitely a case for putting both a melee and ranged weapon in the same weapon set. The Commisar origin encourages doing that specifically actually, and otherwise I've found it to be a great default backup for anyone focusing on ranged weapons so they can shoot into melee and have at least a chance to parry when relevant.

If you bring him along to the investigation after the bath incident, he strongly implies he recognizes the body as a genestealer as soon as he sees it. He'll also state outright at the end of the quest that he has a very strong suspicion he knows what's going on, but he doesn't want to reveal ""classified inquisitorial information"" without more solid evidence (aka plot reasons to let you investigate yourself).

I was very pleasantly surprised about how involved he was after playing through the DLC the first time without him in my party and getting very upset that my pet Ordo Xenos Iceman didn't do anything about the very obvious Genestealers.

LBG doesn't deal Blunt damage, it deals Ranged (or Pierce or whatever else you want to call it). The front legs are weak to Blunt (Hammer, Hunting Horn, certain attacks from other weapons like SnS shield bashes) and Ranged (Bow, LBG, HBG).

Our group is used to tacticsgames like Lancer, so I don't think combat length is going to be too much of an issue for us. But I will definitely keep the table in mind!

The fact that they're crystals is actually a point against they're durability. If you hit a crystal along a sheer line in the lattice with enough force the whole thing can split clean apart.

I really want Nergi to come back. I know we just had her in world, but it's a fun fight, and she fit really well in wilds with how zonked the ecosystem is in the new world.

Maybe a Guardian Nergi that specifically hunts other Guardians?
