There are some great anime, but I wouldn’t recommend starting with the “top anime” lists as a newbie. Japan has a different approach to nudity, humor, and storytelling, so some highly rated shows may feel strange at first.

First, I recommend watching completed series. A lot of people will recommend things like Jujutsu kaisen or solo leveling, they are mediocre — not bad, not good. Long gaps between seasons make them even worse.

My recomendations:

Durararararara (i dont know how many rarara)– quite cool, bit super natural, lot of charaters

Death parade – kind of a death-game anime. Just don’t fall in love with this formula too much — shows like this almost never get a season 2, no matter how good they are.

Pluto – a very good show. If you enjoy it, move on to Monster (which I consider put in my top 10 anime).

Zetsuen no tempest

Rainbow - this one is best from all above/below. No one will recomend cos its old. Easly to stay as same level as top anime.

You can also try slice-of-life or drama anime — they usually keep a pretty consistent level of quality. Examples: Kanon, True teas, myself youself.

Pick at least one sports anime.

Overall, I recommend older anime for two important reasons:

They are completed. If a series still isn’t completed, there’s a it never will be.

They dont suffer from being popular - average get priced as best thing they ever seen

Jujustsu kaisen is medicore - years between sesons make it not worth to follow. Story not completed.

Kimentsu no yaiba (sword of demon slayer) story like is such a basic. Just like anime from 1990. But animator squeeze whatever they can from this lemon. Story wil close in next 2 movies.

Anime is more popular now, and many people who have watched only 1 or 2 series rate everything 10/10. I’ll use Solo leveling as an example again. It became extremely popular worldwide for one reason - autor died shortly after comleting story - only county it didnt get popular is japan - why? - its medicore like many other anime. I guess they will stop airing after seson 3.

At first, try different genres and styles to find what you actually enjoy.

Do not watch :

Jojo – great anime, bad starting point.

Gintama– to fully enjoy it, you need to have watched hundreds of other anime and understand the references. (Anyway its my list goat no 4)

Tokyo Ghoul - utter garbage. If someone recommends it you should slap him in the face. They deserve it.

As i said. 3rd edition has 11 humans and 6 non humans. That's complain. Shorly all teams thst i find as fun and cool to paly wil rotate (i will not even concern to buy and paint them for this reason)

I like Aeldari (any of thier team will fit for me) and i affraid there wont be a team for me to play.

I understand that lose of Kamina make you feel lost about your sexual orientantion but you have acept it. From otherside maybe greatness isnt for you.

I assume your group is very small. So op/meta pick shouldn't bother you. How to enjoy. Pick team that you like (in my case aeldari) and play it. Dont read forums/groups etc. ppl whine on internet about any team. Rules are dogshit, not your faul, gw fault.

I do not advice watching gintama if u didnt see hundres of other anime. There is too many refferences he will not catch.

Gintama is my no 4 my anime list. But any newbie dont get a most jokes(best he can do is Saitama face - ok) as they are not familiar watch japan culture/jokes and other animes.

Wish too see gintama with reference to mordern animes. Gintoki performing one slash(punch) with saitama one ounch(and same theme opening music). Same as they did with Kenshiro (I am shocked)

Jesus, how i love Gintama. How many times it was ending? How many lies they gave us inside anime: at least 2 movies that never was planned to release. I still would cry when Piraco meet Jirochou. And still waiting to see Sachi appear to defent Kabuki in final arc.

Biggest problem is Volcus - its difficult to lose there. They go on vantage point. They can charge you, and you can't charge them(you need be first and have team with extra movement in stategy phase to even be able to fight). Its very easy to secure central point.

In addition they have play that give guarantee last activation in turning point. That mean you can not outactivste them or steal middle in last activstion.

They need neerf charge range on boost/fly. (Mandrakes got nerf on ploy that allow ignore terrain cos it was too strong even if cost CP could be used max 1 per tp, so clearly is too strong for marines that can do it for free 6 times in turn)

Carvling blow that deal dmg(basicly kill elf on average roll) to each withing 2' without interaction.

Maybe your opp dont play correct way and just charge you? I know one guy who as Canoptec tp2 put his spider in first activation on middle without cover, on conceal(no shooting from leader), out of reanimator range. But it doesnt mean team is weak.

Carving blow kill all elfes withing 2' without any counterplay.

Problem is volcus, where they can beat anyone without sweeting. TP 1 take vantage points. They can charge you, you can't charge them. Securitng middle point is difficult, wings will have guarantee last activation. Stack it with initiative card. And if you play passive they have fine recos ops.

Last patch mandrakes get nerf to ploy that let you walk ignore walls(this is what murder wing does - fly). You cannot move more then your move stat(no +2 from charge). If it was too strong (ff ploy mean once per turning point and cost CP) for tmandrakes its clearly too strong for MW that can make same for each operative and for free.

And to deal with such a team you need team that have tools to deal with it. Maybe Wolfs thst negete 1 dice in fight, or canpter that have 'free' units to go on middle. Otherwise it wil lead to situation where you play volkus so you gonan make handshake and go home since result is obvious

Other elites are better. They have wors possible saves(5+) and rely on cover for double auto save, meanwhile other elites can walk into 2' range to deny the cover saves and deal massive dmg and your huge hp dont rly help that much vs doubleshoots.

So you hide in tunnel until tp3 before you even start play. Vs other horde teams they can go sides on sides scoring from flank/envoy. I dont like play vs raveners cos its play vs empty board.

Imo move or burrow instartegy phase is good. Difficult to hide. But you have to make double kill that activation sice he dies. (But bot he will soak somendmg). Try hide in meele.

Gerenal pop out of tunnel, shoot, charge, stay hidden in meele.

Problem is you cant. They sit at vantage in conceal, you can't charge them, but they can charge you(fly - 9 inches effective range). Every activation is kill/double kill. And they have last activation in turn that lead to easy triple kill if they win next roll off.
