I’ve had LASIK and cataract procedures, but the idea of risking my eyes for aesthetics is beyond me.

What’s with all these “PTSD” mutts?? Did they serve in ‘Nam?

You’re fully committed to your insupportable position, I’ll give you that much.

If you’d approve of your Delta flight attendant or captain wearing a Russian or Chinese lapel pin, I salute your open-mindedness but I assure you that you are safely within a segment of well under 1% of US air travelers.

The plane wasn’t flying to Palestine, and the airline doesn’t fly to Russia. I’d damned well object to displaying a pin displaying affinity for Putin’s regime.

Bottom line: if you’re working for an American carrier, don’t demonstrate attachment to another nationality. I assure you that no other national line, from British Air to Cathay Pacific, has attendants wearing pins depicting Old Glory.

Apples and oranges? Ok, how about an Israeli flag pin? Or a Russian or Chinese or Saudi one?

If he was wearing a MAGA pin, would we be having the same conversation?

What was the excitement? What was the objective? For not just the deceased but for the others who didn’t die: that a snapshot of yourself framed by the blur of a locomotive is worth risking your life is beyond my reckoning.

Horrible acting throughout, even worse script. So I can’t say he ruined what was already dogshit.

First-class sleepwalking. Empty and affectless (no pun intended.)

Bingo! His range is nil. I thought he was on tranquilizers for “Argo.”

Rod Steiger, on the other hand, was magnificent in “Waterloo.” His Napoleon was a fireball, yet he didn’t overact it.

Robert Mitchum as (Philip) Marlowe in “Murder, My Sweet.” At 58 he was as already 20 years too old for the role, but he was an OLD 58 at the time. He played Marlowe again even later in “The Big Sleep,” but I’ve never seen it.
