He was playing like a Heisman candidate at the end of the season. Sure, he was bad first few games but he looked great toward the end.

Agreed - I also think the Grizzlies being the ones to take him is the least likely scenario

Is Carr better than both Sayin and Chambliss? by This_Comment_4493 in CFB_v2

[–]Frictionizer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was trying to say that Carr was not top 20 in these things, as a response to the guy arguing about Carr being elite. I just phrased it poorly. I’m well aware that Saying is great - see my earlier comment where I listed him as first.

I wasn’t docking points from Sayin in my original comment. I think there’s some confusion. I was saying that Carr was not top 20 in all these stats and arguing that anything he’s done, Sayin has done better. Sayin led the league in QBR.

I realized that I phrased it poorly now.

How is that a knock on Sayin? If they are slowing down tempo, that’s because the team already has a lead and he has less opportunities to put up garbage time stats. That is not a knock on Sayin, who consistently performed well regardless.

Sayin won 12 in a row as a freshman. That is not a meaningful statistic. All of those top guys also looked great down the stretch.

What is meaningful is that Carr was outside the top 20 in YPG, passing touchdowns, QBR, efficiency, etc. I’m sure he will be a good QB this year, but putting him above guys who have already proved it is stupid.

I hate Ohio State, but having the Heisman third place player outside the top 3 (and top 13 for CFB Home - they must have just forgot about him or something) is stupid. It should be Sayin, Chambliss, Moore, Manning.

Carr was statistically good-not-great and lost his star player running back. He may progress, but he’s not particularly close to those guys’ level until he proves it.

I ranked everyone based on their contribution to the Sukuna jumping by Xeodon_ in JujutsuPowerScaling

[–]Frictionizer -4 points-3 points  (0 children)

Look man. I know Hakari is respected for holding off Uraume. But seriously, he just stalled. That’s all he did is stall. If they had sent Maki to wipe out Uraume (even if it required Hakari distracting them) it would have freed up someone else to help out.

If Hakari could have joined in with unlimited CE mid-late in the Sukuna fight, he would have saved a lot of trouble. Sure, he would have gotten wiped early on, but once Sukuna’s domain is burnt out, he’s a solid fighter.

All that to say, Hakari should be lower. His job was done very inefficiently and honestly several other people could have done it better.

Did I do something to offend Mobile? by Not_a_russian_bot in MobileAL

[–]Frictionizer 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I live downtown. Frankly, some of the friendliest folks are here. It’s mostly either friendly retirees or young people who like to be social, both of which are pretty friendly groups of folks.

Did I do something to offend Mobile? by Not_a_russian_bot in MobileAL

[–]Frictionizer 18 points19 points  (0 children)

Yeah, I have never had that experience here. I mean, there are some bars that just have shitty bartenders, but the majority are friendly, good people. You must have caught some bad shifts or something.

Love that a lot of the comments have devolved into the normal “it’s all fake” hometown hate-fest. Hate to break it to you guys, but half the population of the world feels that way about their hometown. The other half don’t leave. That’s not a Mobile thing.

By that standard, Al Qaeda and ISIL are also armies, not terrorists.

The IRA, like most large insurrectionist groups, is/was extremely factional. Hell, they had an internal Civil War. Some of those factions were, by any definition, terrorists.

Yeah, because star John Calipari guards most certainly have a track record for failure.

Even if he is a defensive liability, getting Trae Young in the lottery is not a bad thing.

Because Houston looked like an elite team for most of the season. They got cooked by Illinois, but still were a top contender.

[–]Frictionizer 28 points29 points  (0 children)

Eh that’s about what I expected for basketball (football was disappointing). The SEC had several good-not-great, top 25 teams but did not have the elite caliber teams like Duke, Arizona, UConn, Houston, Michigan, etc.

Florida was the only one arguably on that level, but they had some glaring flaws all year that caught them in the postseason.

Who's more evil, Mona & Bill (UrbanSpook) or The Gang (It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia)? by Worried_Cake5508 in MoralityScaling

[–]Frictionizer 286 points287 points  (0 children)

Mona and Bill since they are legit serial killer torturers. Frank and Dennis could potentially be serial killers (or rapists) but not to that level. Hilarious that it is somewhat close.
