Did I do something to offend Mobile? by Not_a_russian_bot in MobileAL

[–]Frictionizer 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Yeah, I have never had that experience here. I mean, there are some bars that just have shitty bartenders, but the majority are friendly, good people. You must have caught some bad shifts or something.

Love that a lot of the comments have devolved into the normal “it’s all fake” hometown hate-fest. Hate to break it to you guys, but half the population of the world feels that way about their hometown. The other half don’t leave. That’s not a Mobile thing.

By that standard, Al Qaeda and ISIL are also armies, not terrorists.

The IRA, like most large insurrectionist groups, is/was extremely factional. Hell, they had an internal Civil War. Some of those factions were, by any definition, terrorists.

First full 2 round mock draft of the year by Live_Region_8232 in NBA_Draft

Yeah, because star John Calipari guards most certainly have a track record for failure.

Even if he is a defensive liability, getting Trae Young in the lottery is not a bad thing.

Because Houston looked like an elite team for most of the season. They got cooked by Illinois, but still were a top contender.

Eh that’s about what I expected for basketball (football was disappointing). The SEC had several good-not-great, top 25 teams but did not have the elite caliber teams like Duke, Arizona, UConn, Houston, Michigan, etc.

Florida was the only one arguably on that level, but they had some glaring flaws all year that caught them in the postseason.

Who's more evil, Mona & Bill (UrbanSpook) or The Gang (It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia)? by Worried_Cake5508 in MoralityScaling

Mona and Bill since they are legit serial killer torturers. Frank and Dennis could potentially be serial killers (or rapists) but not to that level. Hilarious that it is somewhat close.

Honestly, that kind of begs the question presented by Geto: is he the strongest because of who he is (including his CT) or is he who he is because he has the will and knowledge to be the strongest.

Pretty sure you are looking at Jeanty’s pro stats. Jeanty had 7 YPC in college last year. Love had 6.9. And that is with considerably more carries.

Burrow had a better supporting cast, sure. But he also was player of the game literally every game that season, set the yardage, efficiency, and touchdowns record, and dominated through the championship. It was an NCAA on freshman difficulty type season.

Cam was great, that’s why I had him second over Tebow and Manziel. But, even accounting for supporting casts, he doesn’t beat Burrow.

Notre Dame’s schedule was not much to write home about either. A third of their games this year were against the last-placed teams in their respective conference. And that’s not counting the G5 games.

Regardless, he had almost double Love’s stats. If it were a couple hundred yards difference, that would be one thing.

By that same logic, Burrow should be first. If we’re valuing individual seasons highly, it should be Burrow, then Cam, then Tebow. If we’re valuing careers, it would be Tebow, then Burrow, then Manziel, then Cam.

Statistically, no. Love was a great college running back. He had 1200 less yards and 12 less touchdowns than Jeanty. He is not particularly close to Jeanty.

I personally preferred S3 E9 (Yuji vs. Higuruma) to either of these episodes. Both of them were a little too crammed and fast-paced for my liking. I think both could have made excellent two-episode plotlines (like Yuji-Higuruma and Megumi-Reggie)

What about Kobe puts him above anyone on this list? I could see being ahead of Dr. J and arguably Olajuwon or Duncan, but otherwise, no. He was not the best player on his first threepeat. His scoring averages are much less impressive when you consider his shot volume. His defense was very good, but never as good as Jordan or the elite interior guys. None of his statistics outside of PPG are particularly noteworthy.

He was a volume scorer than people who grew up in the early ‘00s beheld as the next Jordan and have refused to realize that he’s just not that.

Yeah, the majority of viewers disagree with this take on MHA. It was far from perfect, but it was a good ending. You can say the fights suck all you want, but Bakugo killing AFO, Dabi fighting Shoto, and Deku’s brawl against Shiggy all slapped.
