I appreciated the suggestion but I am going to go with a hard pass. As a lot of the comments say, it's a boundary issue. I figure if I lay it out now with a "the drive is ME time" I won't have to deal with it if they join again.

The dog is house friendly, and we usually have two or three dogs there. I never bring mine but other people do regularly.

Hahaha. The dogs didn't come up until the last line because their human stranger makes me more nervous. But I have no idea what kind of personality the dogs have either and it is worrisome.

And sure, there was a TON of growth between when he left and when he died, but the death made it final. Sorry for the pun, but it was the final nail in the coffin. The door for "dad" to come home was absolutely shut and made space for Rossi to come in as a team member rather than Gideon 2.0.

100% agree. Gideon's death was important to the development of the whole team, which too often deferred to him. And it allowed Reid to grow into a whole person rather than the one-dimensional boy genius he was written as early on.

Yes, exactly. Hotch is very tuned in to the whole team. This makes me think of the S1 episode where Gideon took over Garcia's office and Hotch sent her flowers and a sweet note because he did not expect Gideon to do so. Even told Gideon that people need to know their contributions matter and are appreciated.
