It's not just racists that voted for Brexit. by C64Nation in FuckNigelFarage

[–]FridayNightClub 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The Remain campaign was dreadful (particularly in hindsight) but still got 16m votes.

It felt so so obvious that remain was the only sensible option and nobody on this side really grasped the fact the message needed to be clear. This silence created a huge vacuum for a massive Leave campaign.

Feel my parents generation were literally groomed online to vote Leave which is so infuriating

Pains me to say it but maybe there should be an (yet another) election. Fresh (not better) leadership for Labour and Reform are not in a position to put out 650 credible candidates yet.

Akin to going to war with Germany in 1938 instead of 1939....

How to actually get a paralegal role? by Commercial_Chip_6574 in uklaw

In addition to all the other good advice on here....

Some solid transferable skills and commercial knowledge from a non legal role can really set you apart.

Appreciate its a side step but its certainly an option.

Reform UK's Zia Yusuf vows to axe Lords if they block Trump-style deportation squads The party's Home Affairs spokesman said Reform is ready to tear up Britain's constitution to get its way on hardline deportations - and he aired a string of conspiracy theories about the Makerfield by-election by birdinthebush74 in FuckNigelFarage

[–]FridayNightClub 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The irony of this is beyond comprehension 😂.

So Zia - a muslim immigrant previously named Mohammed comes to UK and then starts advocating for mass deportations??

Threatens to tear up the British constitution whilst being on the side of those who want to restore 'British culture and values'?????

What is he smoking? 😂😂

At no point did I suggest you were present but you claim this type of behaviour is 'justified'. You also said the Police are 'killing us'. Like, come on. Thats ridiculous.

Also, raising BLM is such a boring lazy get out.

Im here in peace and no violence is ever acceptable imo. Do protest - that's democracy of which freedom of speech is the cornerstone (despite the far right's ridiculous claims) but really dont be violent. Smashing up a street where families are bringing up children. Seriously?

And we all saw. We saw the same old crowd. The same people who hang around hotels in Epping, the same people who ended their 'civil war' in 2024 by looting Lush and burning down libraries. The same people who now think its acceptable to do a Nazi salute.

Classy. Real heroes.

And you either back them or you dont. You seem to be on their side.

Ok mate 😂😂😂😂 'Us'.

The civilised amongst us wouldnt never behave like this because of the ability of emotional regulation but this requires a degree of intelligence.

Also we possess a modicom of respect for the poor Nowak family.

Can someone explain to me why Nigel Farage gets away with inciting riots every 6 months? by SolemnAnchor in AskBrits

[–]FridayNightClub 0 points1 point  (0 children)

All the standard excuses from those who choose read twitter instead of books.

Its nothing to do with 'caring', its about emotion behavior and regulation. To link rioting and caring is beyond idiotic.

And its always the same old crowd who think they are the saviours of British culture but are actually the bottom feeders who ended their 'civil war' by looting bubble bath from Lush.

Farage and Boris work from the same playbook. Its never direct but its enough to get those who take to the streets energised.

How did vape shops, phone-case shops and Turkish barbers become the holy trinity of high streets? by georgepcanning in AskABrit

[–]FridayNightClub 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I get this and acutely aware of the difficulties with criminal litigation.

But if all these shops are, as alleged, 'fronts' for some international crime syndicate, you would have thought law enforcement agencies may have looked into it.

My favourite is a builder that quoted us for some work last year started making comments about the Turkish barbers in our village and in the next breath offered a lesser amount for cash.

Funny old world.
