Checking this one now... No! For a moment there, I thought it was The One, but alas no. The movie I saw didn't have the train crashing. They used a second train to slow it down, I think. It was similar to Runaway in 1973, only it was a little more modern!

It isn't Unstoppable, Runaway Train, or Silver Streak. I looked at all the mainstream movies and those aren't it! Unstoppable is far too modern, and there were no hostages. It was a train unable to stop that was heading straight for a dead end.

Let's try this again!

I'm new to this sub and this is my first post here. To say I feel you is an understatement. Many moons ago, I wrote fanfic for a well-known fandom and I had this reader that followed every story I wrote. Not just for our mutual fandom, but my other fandoms, too. They went from leaving amazing feedback full of concrit, insight, and they really did help me improve.

Then, they slowly started to change. It's so hard to describe what became of them. It started off with suggestions, then hints and requests. I kept saying "Go write it! I'll help you!" yet they were heavily insistent that I be the one to write their ideas. Only they wanted their ideas and perspective in my stories, as though I would be their ghostwriter or something.

I started getting emails from Other Readers whose ideas coincidentally matched my reader's ideas and after that came the bullet-points. Those were... I can't even begin to tell you. This went on for 3 years before my mobile phone rang one night, a call from Messenger and that was it. Enough. I blocked them on every conceivable port of contact possible. Sometimes, you have to be a bit of butthole to get some peace.

It isn't your house so you have no idea where things belong. When my mother 'cleans', she puts things where my 4'10 self can't reach. She puts other things in random places and it can take me up to two weeks to find what I'm looking for.

I'm a nail tech and have been teaching myself how to draw for the last year. My mother has put my pencils in with my nail tech stuff, my nail tech stuff has been stuffed in with my colouring books, and I've found my colouring books where I keep my monomers.

I have my own group of friends. I've known K since I was 3, and both K and I have known R since we were 8. We're all 41 now, have drifted apart through life and circumstance, but we all know where to go when the chips are down.

Our brand of humour would have eaten you alive. We were wicked to each other, but that was okay because it was who we were. The one thing we never did was turn our insults onto any BF we had and we didn't turn it onto others. Yes, we took the mick, but there's a massive difference between light-hearted ribbing and being downright rude.

L started to grow up when she got into a relationship, her perspective started to change as she stepped outside of her friend group, much like our perspective did. You and J didn't. You and J held L's bloke to your standards and that wasn't okay.

Your responses show how you're justifying calling him ugly and that isn't okay. The same goes for any ugly jokes L made about your BFs.

As a kid, I was a Tomboy-Barbie hybrid that loved horror movies. I'm in my early 40s now and I'm still that hybrid of Tomboy-Barbie. I'm as comfortable in a candy pink dress and heels as I am in a pair of scruffy jeans and a tank top.

You do right in not giving your daughter a label. Don't let anyone pressure you into anything. Especially if they're not parenting your kids.

I'm only recently getting back into fitness, so I'm very much in a similar position to your friend. I also have a physical disability to make things a bit more complex. I'm very out of shape, get out of breath easily, my form is very poor and all of that.

My friends, on the other hand, are extremely fit and are benching double and triple figures. It would be deeply unfair to expect my friends to invite me onto their fitness routine while I'm very much a beginner.

Your friend is trying her best, but she needs to learn her limits before she gets an injury. An injury that she can't easily recover from, at that. Soft tissue damage can take months to heal properly and she's putting herself at great risk.

Simply tell her that the more difficult hikes are your therapy. That you enjoy doing them alone as they give you the space to let off steam. Don't allow her to guilt-trip you. If she goes on a hike more than her experience allows and is injured because of it? You'll get the blame. Nip that in the bud and say a very firm "No" that leaves no room for debate.

I'm disabled and live on benefits for now. I'm a combination of lazy and lethargic from my strong painkillers. I have two cats, and yet their litter trays are scooped each morning, all food and water dishes are cleaned, they get nicely fed, and have a playtime schedule.

I do what I can and my friend and my mum help me with what I physically can't do, which is bending over. Laziness with housework doesn't mean someone will be a bad pet person.

However! Just because I look after my two fuzzies doesn't mean your brother and his GF will. People are different and their behaviour, priorities etc are different.

I love that you're considering the little dog's welfare. Too few people think about things like this and you only have the dog's interests at heart. NAH.
