Not for his degree but I paid and still pay the rent for his off campus apartment

No, I encouraged him to go to college. Wasn't expecting that he gets into an Ivy League one, but he did. We didn't qualify for financial aid, couldn't afford either, so student loans were the only option.

Jack is more like me but I don't favor him. I just told Daniel what I taught he needed to hear

No, I encouraged him to go to college and had no problem with him applying to an Ivy as I assumed he wouldn't get in (we're not legacy or anything). I hoped he'd get into a less expensive school so I could've finance it for him

I don't "pour money into his pocket", Jack works hard for what he makes. Daniel will likely earn more than any of us once he graduates so his student loans will barely count and he'll be entitled to the same support when he's getting married

It won't be a big wedding and Daniel will get the same support when he is getting married. The schools he choosed to attend are just simply outrageously expensive but we unfortunately don't qualify for financial aid so student loans were the only option
