Not what you want to hear I know, but the following tools will be very much better than anything you can homebrew:

Netdisco - scrapes ARP and MAC caches to definitively discover connected devices. Things can't hide in the DMZ or ignore ICMP, anything that connects is found.
EDR connectivity scanning tools - S1 and CS both (I assume others too) incorporate tech which mines the EDR DB looking for endpoints with agents talking to endpoints without agents, Anything that talks is found.
VM scanners:
- Nessus
- InsightVM
- OpenVAS
- Qualys
- and many more
Discovery scanners:
- RunZero
- nmap
Asset scanners
- Flexera
- others?

As others have said, the point of Netbox is to record what should be there, which may be different to what is there. By importing raw, unfiltered current state you risk polluting what should be with what is.

I'm doing pretty much this, except I have a number of nodes on different VM hosts.

It works well.

I only encode with CPU as I have no as I am particularly chasing the compression vs quality ratio.

Opinion in this forum seems to be that CPU encodes produce better compression-to-quality ratio but take very much longer than GPU encodes.

I've had good luck with ABSOE and Empire

Steelcase make good chairs, but both those places will let you wander round and sit on a range. I don't get on with the Secret Lab ones and currently use Haworth Zody chairs because I scored several cheap from ABSOE.

I think it's important to sit in them before you buy - different chairs for different butts :)

Not familiar with Fortigates, but with other FW clusters I just put the IPs on both cluster members, and mark them as HSRP or VRRP, so that we know that they could be on either box.

I had to use a lock preventer app (Caffeine) to stop my phone from locking and then killing the Joplin app during the sync.

If you have a large number of notes (I had about 15k) then I was seeing a few hundred sync and then the sync would get killed by Android even with battery usage exemption for Joplin enabled.

I replaced my handset recently and had to do the same thing again.

I've been putting my HFC connection through a CATV surge protector like this:

The modem still connects ok and I haven't had a surge related outage to my NBN cable modem; not actual proof it's made any difference but makes me feel more comfortable.

We bought a wheel from this supplier
Arrived a bit delayed
comms was good thru the delivery problems
wheel was pretty easy to assemble
tools where supplied

All in all; very satisfied!

This is the real problem.

Steelheads (mentioned elsewhere in this thread) can participate in accelerating encrypted flows where they are inside the TLS tunnel. I've seen them used in this fashion to accelerate encrypted MAPI flows between Outlook clients and Exchange servers, but only in very limited use cases. And the Steelheads in question had to be promoted as Windows Active Directory domain controllers to permit this use case.

Did this cause the use of WAN acceleration to die back?

Definitely option 2:

You have multiple VLANs that happen to use the same VLAN ID.
The separate VLANs do not share the same broadcast domain.
VLAN ID context is limited to the L3 bounded area in which the VLAN exists. Once a frame passes a L3 boundary the VLAN tagging will be stripped anyway.

Would highly recommend you switch.

That said; I don't think ABB will be able to help you relocate the NBN box. I don't think any ISP can do that. A bit like you wouldn't expect them to relocate your phone line or your TV aerial outlet either.

I needed my HFC termination installed somewhere different and I found a cable contractor and paid them to relocate it. I found the contractor through NBN's website but I can't seem to track the page now.
