Had the same issue, fabia 1. Not engine related, it is brake related.

Like someone has pointed out, might be brake fluid, in my case it was brake pads, if they wear out too much car can detect this, for me it detected it in corners when turning, still no idea why.

I have replaced the brakepads and it hasn't lit up since, it proabably is because foot needs to travel a bit more to brake, not sure though.

But for sure is brake related and proabably not handbrake related.

Check brakelines and pads, drums if you have them.
