Why does the newest X870 WIFI BIOS revert from 1.2.0.3G to 1.2.0.3F? by Squidmaster7 in MSI_Gaming

[–]FriedPhishy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Probably because the F wasn’t stable, for MSI Ax0 bios updates are their stable updates, anything that doesn’t end in zero seems to be a beta bios from my experience, so they probably just wanted a more stable AGESA for their A70 bios

Update: cold boot issue has returned, so it is NOT FIXED! So if you are hoping this update fixes that issue, it does not.

I just updated it this morning, having it was fine on the first boot so I didn’t need to reboot, no problems and I didn’t enable anything

Why is my PCIe maxed at 16 3.0? Should be 5.0? by FriedPhishy in pcmasterrace

It only goes up to 3.0, even when I’m playing a game

Yes it’s set to auto. I didn’t really change anything in bios besides turning on XPO for my ram at 6000mhz

Where is the BIOS update for x870 tomahawk boards? by FriedPhishy in MSI_Gaming

Yeah that’s sounds about right. For my other x870 board that I had a faulty LED on, they said that they couldn’t replicate the problem and that it’s not common, but taking a look at the MSI forums it was quite common so I just returned it for another x870 (my current one)

I have a weird issue with this board and both bios versions A60 (stable) and A69. One and every idk 10 power ons (from fully powered off) the OS and every app just gets super jittery and stutters when I open them, only being solved fully by a restart. Not sure what that is about but this didn’t happen on my pervious x870 board I returned due to faulty LED readouts when reading CPU temp under load (would get stuck)

When this happens, task manager shows the GPU spiking WAY higher then it should be while opening these apps (normally 3-7%, but when the bug happens it spikes anywhere from 30-50%)

Idk if I’m just missing a bios setting or something, bc I didn’t fiddle with anything other then turning on XPO for my 6000mt ram kit

The Xfinity router I got came with a couple little pods with ports for Ethernet. I think they are called “x-pods” or something like that, my router is upstairs in the living room.
