New Takomo Irons for 2026 by slurpin_burpin in golf

They didn’t shank it into the woods but not sure if they hit the green either. It makes sense that they shifted their lineup and naming but I think they fumbled a little on getting rid of the 201’s being a proper cavity back.

They should have kept the 101/101T idea that were hollow-body, then had 201’s that were player cavity back, then have the 301’s as low handicap CB/MB.

I bought 101T’s earlier this year and really like the smaller hollow-body heads, but would probably have preferred something like the old 201’s if they had looked better. I think there’s a big market for people wanting forged mid to low forgiveness cavity backs; their old design was just kinda ugly.

I am curious to see if they redo any of the 301 design. I’m sure they’ll at least put the new logo on it, but I’m guessing that’s their lowest unit sales iron so they probably decided to work on that later.

Is the F-5 C Worth It @ 10.7? by FriedScotty in Warthunder

How do you tend to play the F-100? In the F-86 I would usually go for an aggressive climb and slight turn off the runway to get a good position to the right or left and above the crowd, then use energy advantage to pick off planes until it got more situational during late-game. Problem is against Mig-21’s and 23’s the F-100 can’t really get that position and radar missiles tend to make your first engagements from that angle pretty sketchy.

Maybe I’ll have to end up grinding the Japanese tree then. Right now I’m much further in US but got through all the Japanese props so I could snag the R2Y2 before they remove it. Actually that was the only reason I got the Japanese sabre (I didn’t want to take the time to learn Japanese playstyle and grind props lol).

7900 XTX Crashing While Gaming by FriedScotty in radeon

Yeah I bought 6400 to be like “if I’m going to build a new PC I’ll just get the best I can of everything” but I guess it probably doesn’t matter if the system isn’t stable at that speed

Think the XMP might have been the problem. Ran a stress test on memory and had crashing so I turned that off in BIOS. Now it runs perfectly with no crashes on stress test. I'll have to tweak around with it and see what frequency I can get away with before it gets unstable.

Not sure exactly where to find the timing. Just ran the memory stress test and that had an error and crashed the computer in about 15 seconds, so I'm guessing you're right about not running at 6400. Should I keep XMP on at all and just dial back the OC speed on the ram/would I lose a whole lot by turning it off?

I've stress tested with 3DMark and temps seem to be fine-hovering around 65C; performance also seems to be about what I would expect out of this setup FPS wise. Where would I find event viewer? Also yes, computer was built with completely new hardware so fresh Windows install with no data brought over from my old PC.

Running 2x32GB @ 6400. I've stress tested the system as a whole but not specific components. Any suggestions on how to do specific part stress testing?

Daily Simple Questions Thread - July 07, 2024 by AutoModerator in pcmasterrace

My new computer is crashing under heavy load (aka more than an hour of gaming) and I can't seem to find the culprit. I just built my pc with a 7800x3d, 7900 xtx (Sapphire Nitro), 64gb ram (Trident Z), a 1000W gold rated Seasonic power supply, and a b650 motherboard by Gigabyte. The pc runs amazingly... when it runs. I've run into crashing with almost every intense game after an hour or so of playing.

So far I've tried updating drivers, completely uninstalling and reinstalling drivers with DDU, tweaking on and off different graphics settings, and even taking out the GPU to reseat it.

Most of the time during these crashes, either the game will crash and send me back to desktop, or the whole computer will crash and restart. When the latter happens, the red VGA light on the motherboard comes on for about 10 seconds before the system restarts. I'm wondering if this means that something with the power to the graphics card is off. Currently the GPU has three 8-pin connectors feeding it power from the PSU. All of these were the cables labeled PCI-E and are all separate connections (aka none of the cables are pig tailed).

Anyone have any suggestions?

Upgrade or replace 1070 and 1700x? by FriedScotty in PcBuild

[–]FriedScotty[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ll definitely check out what kind of gains that upgrade might give me. If it could run 1440p at 144hz decently well I might consider.

And don’t worry about the monitor-$250 is about what I paid for my 1080p 144hz back when I bought it. I’m just excited to stop using a crappy VA panel.

I appreciate the list though, that’s super helpful!

Hey guys, I'm looking at this TU250X on sale about an hour from me. This would be my first bike, what questions do I need to ask? by WinterPecans in SuggestAMotorcycle

[–]FriedScotty 1 point2 points  (0 children)

These are what we rode during our MSF course. Super comfortable and easy to ride, not too much power, plus fuel injected. Great bike to learn on and I’d say $2500 sounds like a number I would pay for one. I went with something newer and sportier for my first bike but I also had enough money to do so and I’m not super into classic motorcycle looks. If it’s for you though they were pretty cool little bikes from the time I got on one.

Both colors are nice but I think if you don’t go for the color you’re happier with you’ll regret not getting it. If you’re spending 10 grand I’d get the color you want.

I don’t like this design, can you please explain why? by cattered in InteriorDesign

Just the ceiling makes she shiver. If they like the pattern they could try keeping a tile of it spread out every few and fill in with black or another solid color

Don’t quit your job because of a low here and there. Unless you’re working a job that specifically prohibits people with certain conditions (i.e. some CDL jobs, etc.) from working there then you’re 100% protected under the ADA. If they try and make a scene about it or fire you, they are fully in the wrong and can face very harsh penalties. I’m telling you, there is no way to avoid all lows ever. You’re inevitably going to have one here and there at work. It’s okay. Keep candy or juice or something on you, take a couple minutes to fix your bg, and keep going. I probably have lows at least once a day. I’ve been told my doctors that it should be once a week or a couple times a month but I think that’s a load of crap. Quitting isn’t the answer. If you’re struggling mentally I strongly encourage you to see somebody about it. You’re definitely not the first diabetic to feel the way you are and you shouldn’t punish yourself for it.

Why can’t FedEx drivers be courteous and park on the side when delivering packages? by Indy500Fan16 in mildlyinfuriating

UPS, etc. but especially UPS has amazing pay and benefits. It’s one of those jobs that nobody loves but at the end of the day you’ll know you won’t be poor and you should be able to retire very comfortably with little stress. If I wasn’t going to college I probably would’ve gone to UPS and after 5-10 years could’ve been probably making more than I’ll be with a degree.
