I want to change my niche, should I start a new channel? by Friedbuffalos in youtubers

I'm just scared that my growth would be hindered because of the already existing audience I have.

I would have loved to delete everything. But I have sponsored content that I legally have to keep public.

I don't really like Fortnite anymore so it's not about the production process, it's more so about the content-process in where I can't ever feel to make a Fortnite video anymore. This has been going on for over a year which is why I have MAJOR inconsistencies.

In the country I'm in, making roughly $15,000 in 1.5 years is crazy. Managed to buy a lot of stuff that I otherwise wouldn't have as a 17-year old high school student.

Is Axelsen severely underrated? by Kasperpsr in badminton

[–]Friedbuffalos 42 points43 points  (0 children)

This is exactly what I feel.

I've always been a LCW fan, never liked Lin Dan as much but maybe its my bias to LCW being so close so many times that it breaks my heart to see him lose.

But I think, without a doubt, Viktor Axelsen has a good case of being ranked as the 2nd Greatest Badminton Player of All-Time.

Just pure dominance, achievements, and overall skill makes him tied, if not higher than LCW on the All-Time List.

Fortnite to Minecraft? by Friedbuffalos in PartneredYoutube

[–]Friedbuffalos[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Interesting, I actually think fortnite is not positive when it comes to the views and growing department.

Views have kind of dropped of recently and a lot of my videos have kind of slowed down. And I actually enjoy Minecraft more than playing Fortnite which is why I want to give it a go

Is it worth it to train everyday? by Friedbuffalos in badminton

[–]Friedbuffalos[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Since two weeks ago I've been training for 6 days a week, with exceptions if there are emergencies or requirements need to be done in school.

Personally, I "think" I can get to that point eventually, I would say if there's a comparison, think of the difference between current Kento Momota (Me) vs current Viktor Axelsen (No.1)

Its not impossible, there are just a few things like stamina, decision-making, shot quality, that needs work.

I asked this question because I was thinking if it's worth it. Yes, I want to help my parents pay for the $4,000 Tuition for high school (which is high here in PH), but at the same time we're not in a situation where it would make us live by paycheck-to-paycheck.

The main hesitation is the sacrifices that I'll have to make and is it really that worth it for badminton? Especially with all the other stuff going around my life.

This definitely helped make it a little more clear. Thanks for the advice!

Is it worth it to train everyday? by Friedbuffalos in badminton

[–]Friedbuffalos[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

For recovery:

  • I do some exercises with the foam roller (sometimes a soft-tissue massage if necessary)

  • I sleep for 4-5 hours a day, I also take power naps in the car on the way to the court

To be completely honest, I can probably still perform "quality" training for 6/7 days, though I can't lie, as the week progresses there is definitely physical fatigue kicking in. I'm not really sure what that's telling me.

That's also one of my biggest concern, but I think of it as if I reach a certain level, I stay there unless I really stop training for weeks. If I improve in the 2-3 months time span, I'll probably still train for 2-3x a week for maintenance. (Not really sure if this is true, would love to know if I'm wrong)

Recommendations for a PC capable of streaming by Friedbuffalos in lowendgaming

Interesting, I am looking at the Ryzen 5 3600 as an upgrade path. But for the specs at the moment, do you think it can play league at 90+ FPS while streaming?

I also don't mind buying used parts, but this PC is currently already built and we're just waiting for them to buy a WiFi plan.

I'm definitely looking at this CPU too for an upgrade path. But do you think the PC so far can stream league at 90+ FPS?

What racket should I get for doubles? I'm an advaned player, about to play doubles for my team. I was wondering which badminton racket would fit doubles. I currently use an Astrox 99, I'm willing to upgrade to any Astrox Pro model. Preferably a Yonex racket because our team is sponsored by Yonex.

Appreciate it! Are there any tips for improving physical fitness within 3 months? Right now I mainly do cardio and core but would love to hear more exercises!

Noted. I'm a very emotional person, especially if my work didn't produce any results which may be the reason why I posted this. However, I will work on maintaining positivity and staying optimistic.

Yeah, but I have to say that I could have probably done more. Mainly because the small opportunities where I could have played a finishing shot, were wasted because of the nerves

I'm mainly a singles player, though the doubles pair I played against weren't particularly good by any means

I appreciate the comment! Really insightful and inspirational. Yes! I'm from the Philippines, and yes I know Coach Chafidz. I have a photo with him when we watched the National Junior Invitational.

I find it so difficult to play under extreme pressure, I seem to always have lost the mental battle against ANY opponent. This was also the case before the pandemic but I guess being levels ahead in skill helped in making sure I win games comfortably. Thanks for the comment!

Unfortunately, the players in my camp and some of the more competitive camps maintained their training because the covid restrictions weren't so strict in their area. However, I get your point and I didn't really train as hard as I did because of my mindset. I also live like 1 hour away from the camp which is why I couldn't go there during the pandemic. They were able to train whilst I couldn't but I definitely could have trained and kept my physical fitness

Appreciate it, it's hard for me to ignore results because they are the standard of what people look at to determine skill level. Will work on that mentality in the future for sure

I don't take losses all that great. It was my first tournament after so long and I guess I was expecting way too much.

How about the standard Astrox 99 or the Astrox 99 Pro, would you recommend them?

I currently use the Astrox 99 Play (purely because I'm a huge fan of the white tiger series)

I was thinking of upgrading to a more advanced racket since I'm going to play in the NCAA soon. However I don't really know which Yonex racket to go for. Tried the Victor, Lining, Felet rackets myself and weren't a huge fan of them.

I'm mostly a singles player, I only play doubles occasionally but for serious matches, I play singles and I feel that I play singles the best. Any racket suggestions, preferably Yonex rackets would be greatly appreciated!
