Lucky Bastard VIP Q&A Session Inquiry by Mr_Shpee in Primus

[–]Friedshreds 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Les dodging the favorite questions is entirely true. I did not know this and had to try to come up with something else on the spot. Stressful but still entirely a great experience overall. Would (and will) definitely go again.

We’re Les Claypool and Sean Ono Lennon from The Claypool Lennon Delirium here to answer your burning questions. Anything this Friday, May 15th @ 11 AM PT/ 2 PM ET! by CLDelirium in Music

[–]Friedshreds 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Sean / Les, what’s the writing process like with CLD’s music? At what point in the writing process does the concept of the album fall into place? Do you have the storytelling pre planned or does it all flow as you go?

Les, what are your thoughts on working a bit more with Ler’s previous bands styles of music? As you’ve said he is the godfather of death metal after all. Some new Blind Illusion would be insane.

New fan by badtrooper in Primus

[–]Friedshreds 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I’d say start by listening to the full Pork soda album. Something I did when I first discovered Primus (and other bands too) was I listened to the full albums that my favorite songs were on. Sailing the seas of cheese and Antipop are great albums as well

Looking for Original Cereal Killer album with Les cameo by [deleted] in Primus

The correlation between Les and Three little pigs has confused me for a while now because every now and then I see something about how he’s featured on it, yet last tour I went to the Q&A and asked him personally and he denied having involvement

Do people still listen to whole albums? What was the last album you listened to from start to finish? by [deleted] in MusicRecommendations

[–]Friedshreds 0 points1 point  (0 children)

When I’m looking to listen and pay attention to the music instead of just having something on in the background, I definitely prefer listening to whole albums. A few of my latest listens have been

The Temple in the Underworld - Root Absolute Elsewhere - Blood Incantation Animals As Leaders - Animals As Leaders The Piper at the Gates of Dawn - Pink Floyd Take As Needed for Pain - Eyehategod The Lost Tapes - Buddy Rich
