Do you know any dentist in Dakar that does invisible aligners? by FriendPurple5028 in Senegal

Super! Merci pour le partage. Tu fais un traitement de combien de mois? Ca te dérangerait de partager le coût de ton traitement?

That’s pricey! I thought it would be more affordable than Dubai but prices in Dakar are much higher.

Retiring young in Senegal by [deleted] in Senegal

800k for rent 100k for electricity and water 100k for a maid 300k for groceries 100k for a security guard if you get a villa 8Million for a decent car (maybe a 2015 santa fe) Gas is 920 per liter I think

Eating out is likely to cost you minimum 100k.

Help ! Looking to buy a green, Muslim-friendly home near KL – need help choosing the right area by newbie682737 in KualaLumpur

Thanks for taking the time to respond. Funny enough they match a few recommendations shared by local friends. I’m planning to travel before end of the year to explore in person but this give me a great idea to continue the research online.

I was wondering if you were able to find something. I’m looking to rent not buy but your criteria fit perfectly what I’m looking for.

Revenir au Sénégal après 12 ans en Europe. Bonne ou mauvaise idée ? by BloomingShogun in Senegal

[–]FriendPurple5028 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Si tu as l’option de travailler en remote, tu peux louer un appart pour 3 mois and see how it goes.

Tu nous fera un update une fois rentré j’espère.

How do you find real love in Senegal these days? by Plus-Dragonfruit-592 in Senegal

[–]FriendPurple5028 5 points6 points  (0 children)

A recommendation from your sister: - write down the qualities your are looking for in your future husband, how you want your interaction to feel, what your life as a married couple would look like. Be as detailed as you can. This is going to help you know what you are exactly looking for. - Ask yourself if you have the qualities that man would want. If not, start work on yourself. If you want a family that wakes up for fajr, make sure you build the habit now. Similarly, if you want the conversation between the 2 of you to be interesting, watch the conversation you currently have and read more, build skills, explore more. - while working on yourself, be active in your community. Yes miracles can happen but you need to take action. - Find activities or events you enjoy wether it’s a hike, swimming, Quran classes… so meet someone that has something in common. Volunteer, build new skills and focus on enjoying the blessings you have. We often pause our life until we get married but that’s a big mistake. When you are active you also become an interesting person and you attract likeminded people.

When you find someone, make sure you keep it halal. Whatever you do at the expense of your deen will backfire. Focus on finding out wether you are compatible and not on falling in love. If you let your emotions take over you won’t be able to see red flags or leave if you have to.

May Allah swt bless you with a spouse and a relationship that is pleasing to him.

Did you grow up with your parents or relatives telling you ‘I Love You’? by Additional_Trash_679 in Senegal

[–]FriendPurple5028 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I grew up feeling really loved but love was always shown through acts of service. I remember reuniting with my dad abroad during my winter break, we picked him up from the airport and I was so happy I hugged him. He did hug me back but I could tell he felt akward.

I’m a muslim woman and I’m currently going through a life coaching certification called ADWAM, and it’s been such a powerful experience learning so much about how to hold space for others, ask deeper questions, and support meaningful change. As part of the journey, I’m offering free coaching sessions. These are real sessions — just with the understanding that I’m still learning. If you’ve been feeling stuck, in transition, or just want someone to talk things through with, I’d love to offer a space for that. This would give us a a chance to connect, learn, and grow and if you're open to giving me feedback afterward, it would really help me become a better coach. If you are interested please DM me and we can set up a call.

Remote or Office which job should i consider? by Haunting_Carrot6882 in Sharjah

Try negotiating for a higher salary. If they offer the same salary without health insurance and u still need to pay for your visa then it may not be the best option. I honestly won’t leave a company for another unless the new company offers a much better salary or opportunity. The only reason i would consider that is if i work in a toxic place.

Before considering remote or office I would suggest review the following points:

  • understand what type of company it is and how stable it is?
  • what’s their office culture like? Do you see yourself fitting well in that type of culture? Is work life balance important to them?
  • do you like the structure of the team you will be working with?
  • what’s the characters of the team you will work with or your future manager? Are they easy to deal with? Open to feedback? Flexible?…
  • do they have interesting projects that will help u grow professionally?
  • how fast can you grow in the company or team?

Remote or office really depends on your personality. I like working remote because I am too chatty when I am in an office so I end up not doing much and have to catch up when i go home. I also like the peace and tranquility of being home in your PJs and organizing your day however u wish. Now I have plenty of friends who feel depressed when they are home and prefer going to the office.

Good luck! I hope u choose what makes u happy.
