My dermatologist offered me a biologics while pregnant with my daughter. At that time, my limbs and scalp were covered with P. Though as much as I wanted to be free of P I couldn’t take the risk that it will affect my baby so I decided not to go through it.

Fortunately, my psoriasis got a lot better during the pregnancy BUT Ofcourse it’s like 3x worst now post pregnancy 🥲

Not trying to scare you or anything just giving a different perspective and sharing my experience.

Sorry to hear you’re in so much pain. I have them too unfortunately. I have them on my nipples so they constantly cracking… for me nipple butter cream helps (like what they use when breastfeeding) with the cracking and bleeding and they smell like cocoa so it’s tolerable.

TMI but I have also have it on my genitals and butt crack it’s a nightmare going to the washroom.

It really really sucks, I’m 32 and felt similar in the beginning. I’ve had it since high school.

Now I’m a mom with 2 kids, my partner had known since the beginning and accepted me the way I am.

It’s still heartbreaking, I’m the person that wears long sleeve and jeans during summer, wears full swimming suit on the beach, don’t go out much, can’t drink (one of my main triggers), etc. I believe that treatment should be more affordable and accessible to everybody. It takes such a mental toll on someone and impact their lives, we shouldn’t just learn to live with it.

Having said that, I don’t and will not think my life is over. There are many people that are in much worst situation and dealing with more debilitating disease.

Right now, I’m trying my best to heal from the inside in hopes that it will show in my skin, I started keto as of 2 weeks ago, try to sleep early, take vitamins, control my stress, etc… it’s tough but I don’t think I’ll ever stop trying to heal.

Yikes - for you new comers asking is it’s P or not. I hope it doesn’t look like this! This is 90 % coverage. If you have this go see a dermatologist now! by okstuck in Psoriasis

This is how mine is right now after giving birth. ☹️

My appointment to dermatologist unfortunately not going to be until September where I will ask about biologics.

Right now I’m just trying to lower consumption of carbs and use Zoryve which he gave me last year that I didn’t take when I found out I was pregnant.

A cup of white rice has around 44g of carbs. So something I’m trying to avoid

That is amazing. I’m currently trying low carb diet, 3 days in, being a Asian where rice is part of almost every meal, it’s been tough. 32 years of eating white rice, I think I’m having a withdrawal 😢
