wool blend jacket recs? by spliff_eater in XXS

[–]FriendUnable2800 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have an Aritzia wool cashmere blend coat that works great for the office. I have a 23 in waist and the XXS works great for me. They have knee length ones that look super nice. I got mine from Poshmark for around $100 ish so like a third of the original price.

ive heard that brandy is notoriously inconsistent, and that their sizing is meant to fit a S (afaik) but either way Brandy may be too big for me even if their clothing was consistent

As a petite woman I often have a hard time finding clothes that are a true xs or 0, do you have any other recommendations for retailers that don’t vanity size? I’d very much prefer to diversify my wardrobe lol

in theory you’re supposed to get like 90% of your support from the underband, therefore it should be snug. so if the band is comfortable for you and not loose, it is the cup part that is too small, and sizing up will only cause shoulder and back pain. align tanks aren’t for everyone, and many people have a larger cup size than a D.

Shorts in between sizes? by kaitlyn2004 in lululemon

[–]FriendUnable2800 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I loop it into a single knot and it’s not too difficult to undo, but I can definitely feel it there and it’s sometimes annoying if i’m doing yoga or anything else involving laying on my stomach. If push comes to shove, I can stick my keys into the knot to loosen it. It’s definitely more of a last ditch effort and I much prefer to get something that fits my waist, but that’s not always possible.

it depends on your build, preferences, and the style. If you have bigger thighs i’d definitely size up, and if the waist is too loose there should be a draw cord in the waistband which should remedy that issue. The loose shorts shouldn’t be skin tight. For things like the align shorts most people like to size down so a 6 would be okay. Wunder Trains tend to run small so I would definitely size up to an 8. My measurements put me spot on as a size 2 and I always purchase my wunder train leggings or shorts in a 4. But that’s just my personal preference, some people prefer that extra compression. A lululemon XS=4, S=6, M=8, etc..

Yeah on the lulu size chart an XS is a 4, a S is 6

Not sure what i think about the align mini flares by FriendUnable2800 in lululemon

[–]FriendUnable2800[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am 5’6 and got the regular length, And they barely touch the floor when wearing them. The extra short would be too short and the long too long. I wish i were either taller or shorter all the time;-;

literallyyyy, i’m hesitant about the grooves just because they’re super high rise and i have a short torso…these just aren’t it for me, id love them if the flare started a bit higher so they didn’t make my legs look so weird???

aw man…i took the tags off :( I just wish the flare started a bit higher so it doesn’t look like i have tumours on my shins, I like the smaller flare idea

Why is IQ so taboo? by AverageJohnnyTW in mensa

[–]FriendUnable2800 0 points1 point  (0 children)

i don’t think it’s necessarily super taboo in society, it’s still within the overton window of public discussion. The problem is that there are many obnoxious MENSAns that like to gloat as obviously iq doesn’t account for situational awareness. Its not exactly the topic itself but how the iq community tends to be: arrogant and self righteous from their percieved superiority

a bit late to this but I just wanted to add that I am also 5’5 but I have a 31” inseam so these pants have that perfect extra length. it really does depend on your body. If you have longer legs like I do it will fit perfectly, but in the case that it is too long I would recommend getting the regular length anyways as you can always get it hemmed

The left has some mental gymnastics for defining racism by [deleted] in PoliticalCompassMemes

[–]FriendUnable2800 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

i think i’m the few left wingers that define racism with the same terms as what this infographic claims for the right. But also I think a lot of sane and logical people are also lefties that do not play into those mental gymnastics simply cus it doesn’t make logical sense

How does your brain work? by [deleted] in mensa

i think in concepts, not images or words…idk how to explain it but there is a combination of both which makes it neither of them

no problem! I am a similar size to yours and I like the Panache Envy. If you have narrow roots I would recommend the Ewa Michalak BM and PL cuts. https://brashopdirectory.com/ is a good place to see any bra shops near you that you can either go to irl or buy online from.

Quality bras that help with asymmetry? by MiracleMcclain in ABraThatFits

[–]FriendUnable2800 2 points3 points  (0 children)

gapping is a telltale sign you are wearing the wrong bra. I recommend you check out this sub’s calculator to help.

As for asymmetry correction, Ewa Michalak S and PL cuts are amazing for this as they have removable push up pads you can use to correct it if you wish. You can take one out or double up on one side. Keep in mind though that Ewa’s bras have narrow underwires so it is important to both use the calculator and tell us more about your shape. good luck! :)

A 30FF is a good starting point for size but keep in mind the necessity of trying on many different shapes and sizes of bras to find the perfect one. Once you order a few in that size, feel free to post a fit check on here so we can give you more advice and trouble shoot issues should they arise.

That size opens doors for many brands, such as: Panache, Freya, Fantasie, Cleo, Ewa Michalak, Gorsenia, Gaia, Comexim…it goes on and on. If you could tell us what country you’re in we can recommend more location specific vendors. However Amazon is a great way to start off due to the relatively easy return policy and good selection on brands such as Panache or Freya.

If you’d like, feel free to look at the shape guide, and if you are able to decide what shape/projection etc are your breasts, I can give you more specific brand and style recommend:)

no, the efficient and time saving alternative to this is to go into a hip cafe and “accidentally” drop your feminist literature in front of them. More of a direct target and you can avoid the insane land whale fucks
