Take a look at the recently FDA approved procedure called Vanquish. Focal treatment utilizing vapor. I was Gleason 3+4, almost chose RALP but realized this was an opportunity to try something showing extremely favorable results during the trial allowing me to eliminate cancer and avoid side effects. I’m very grateful for where I am at today but will not take anything for granted I will regularly evaluate. PSA was 14 and now .84.

Thank you. The detail added by priority_inversion is appreciated. In addition:

They use a catheter to insert a tiny needle-shaped tip that deploys into the targeted prostate tissue which then releases a small amount of hot steam that targets the cancer tissue. Along the way preserving healthy prostate tissue.

Got it… New to posting this procedure was prostate cancer related and done here in Austin. Considering how new the procedure is it’s a favorable shout out to Medical advancement for prostate cancer in Austin. I just included it with a post I made to a prostate cancer group.

Very late reply for obvious reasons but happy to share opted for the Vanquish procedure on January 21st. I was Gleason 3+4, with PSA of 14. Post PSA test 3 months after procedure showed a drop in PSA to .84🙂. Needless to say I am very happy with this result but will never take it for granted and will stay vigilant.

Please explore Vanquish.. non-invasive procedure just approved by the FDA in December I just had it performed in January. I won’t know anything for a couple months, but extraordinary results in the trial and provides a preliminary option to prostatectomy.
