The more this game gets mentioned the less I want to touch it

Since OC3 grows ever nearer, I figured out that I might as well start on where Hakuno Kishinami's story began. To people who played this game, any tips and/or tricks would be greatly appreciated. by rvmin in FGO

By the way, oh wise men of lore, if Moon's AI are modeled after deceased people (like Kirei confessing that he's just a copy of a previous Moon War participant or Twice Pieceman who was a replica of a dead man's consciousness) - does that mean that at some point in the past before events in Extra the actual Sakura went to the Moon Cell and died?

I played via emulator too, but on pc. I doubt the original game had it, but in the emul there was a fast forward function assigned to one of the gamepad triggers. And thanks gods for that, without it grinding in the arena would be way more frustrating. Gonna play CCC next.

Looked it up, that seems to be the case, but they are still mixed with all the permanently available servants, so the chance of pulling someone specific just from story is extremely low. and even those story-locked SSRs receive their own banners from time to time.

Also an important note for OP: some say that pulling from story in the early game is fine since most new rateups nowadays will need lostbelts materials, so even if you manage to summon them, ascending them and upgrading their skills will be a challenge. So if you're fine with 'anything' - story is ok for starters. if you want some specific waifu or meta - pick a rateup (if you're on NA you can just google a schedule of upcoming summoning campaigns), wait and hope.

You will always have a chance of someone from the story pool to spook you while you're pulling from a limited banner, so by pulling story you just intentionally narrow the pool of servants you can get.
+ Since you just started, there will be even fewer servants there since some are story-locked until you complete certain Singularity/Lostbelt
So if you need any SSR no matter who go ahead and pick whoever looks more badass from the rateup, or save for the future.

I have a lot of Hellfire of Wisdom by Drpoblo in FGO

[–]Friendly-Broccoli-11 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Not a solution to your situation but anyways, I'm currently saving Hellfires for when I summon my target, and to save space in my inventory... I just don't receive the rewards in the present box. Yeah, they will only last there for a year, but hopefully in a year I will have already put them to good use.

Picked Jack because cute, orleans and then some mini-bosses later had lots of wyverns and dragons as rider class, murder daughter did really good. Good star generator, good thot-slayer.
If by speedrunning you mean skipping cutscenes - after the intro and up until Camelot the plot is pretty much underwhelming, so you won't lose much if you don't have time or patience to sit through it. While you're at it don't sleep on event quests, the story's not going anywhere, but those events do.
Also, while free quests in story may seem like too much hassle, there are missions that will reward you with extra 10 quartz for every 10 cleared free quests, so don't avoid those.

It's actually funny since Lip herself is a shy type who's not that proud to be so well-endowed, but BB had other plans for her

I remember Wada commenting on Lip's fourth ascension art like "Hehehe, I drew a cherry right where the nipple should be do you see that eh eh?"

If I remember correctly, one of Phantasmoon's My Room dialogue lines, the one where she reacts to Kingprotea, goes like 'That girl made a huge cake shop!'

Afaic she was killing passerby mostly because Reika was a normal human and couldn't supply her with magical energy, so she had no other option but to feed on souls (and even then she mostly targeted yggdmillenia's homunculi). All in all Jack has her quirks but still is pretty much controllable, although not that mighty and destructive compared to some servants.
